Stephen Brown (born 9 May 1956) is a British sprint canoer who competed in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He won a bronze medal in the K-4 10000 m event at the 1981 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Nottingham.
He lived at 36 Devon Drive. [1] In 1976 he was a pattern maker at a Loughborough foundry.
Brown also competed two Summer Olympics, but did not reach the finals in either of those games. At the 1976 Summer Olympics, he was eliminated in the repechage round of the K-2 1000 m event. Four years later in Moscow, Brown was disqualified in the semifinals of the K-4 1000 m event.
He later shared a house in Keyworth with fellow canoeist Norman Mason.
Roman Zarubin is a Russian sprint canoer who has competed since the late 1990s. He won seven medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with a gold, three silvers, and three bronzes.
Bob Maesen is a Belgian sprint canoer who has competed since the late 1990s. He won a silver medal in the K-2 1000 m event at the 2003 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Gainesville.

Serhiy Nahorniy is a Soviet sprint canoeist who competed from the late 1970s and the early 1980s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he won two medals at Montreal in 1976 with a gold in the K-2 1000 m and a silver in the K-2 500 m events.
Ture Wilhelm "Thor" Axelsson was a Finnish sprint canoer who competed in the late 1940s. He won two bronze medals at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, earning them in the K-2 1000 m and K-2 10000 m events. He was born in Helsinki. Axelsson also won a gold medal in the K-2 500 m event at the 1948 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in London. Note that the K-2 500 m event did not become an official event at the Summer Olympics until the 1976 Games in Montreal. The event has been on the Olympic program since then.
Zoltán Bakó is a Hungarian sprint canoeist who competed during the 1970s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he won a bronze medal in the K-2 1000 m event at Montreal in 1976.

Anke Ohde is an East German sprint canoer who competed in the mid-1970s. She won five gold medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with two in the K-1 500 m, one in the K-2 500 m (1974), and two in the K-4 500 m events. In 1976, she was displaced by fellow SC Neubrandenburg club member Carola Zirzow in the K-1. The Olympic nomination for the K-2 went to the world champions, Bärbel Köster and Zirzow. Ohde thus went to the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal as a canoeing reserve and did not compete. Ohde finished her active career after the Montreal Olympics.
