Stephen Cairfield Dubois (born 1 February 1940) is an Australian retired politician. Born in Vanuatu,he was the legislative assistant to Labor MP Bill Morrison. In 1984,Morrison retired,and Dubois succeeded him in the seat of St George in the Australian House of Representatives,also representing the Labor Party. He held the seat until its abolition in 1993,at which time he retired [1] after losing a preselection contest for the new seat of Watson to Leo McLeay who was then the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Adam Alexander "Bill" Armstrong was an Australian politician. Born in Deniliquin,New South Wales,he was a grazier before serving in the military 1939–45. Subsequently,he became involved in local politics,serving on Conargo Shire Council. In 1965 he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives in the by-election for the seat of Riverina that followed the resignation of Hugh Roberton;Armstrong was a member of the Country Party. He held the seat until 1969,when he was defeated by Labor's Al Grassby. Armstrong died in 1982.

John Arthur Abel was an Australian politician. Born in Sydney,he attended Newington College from 1949 until 1954. Abel was an accountant and company manager before entering politics. In 1975,he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Liberal member for Evans,defeating Labor MP Allan Mulder. His seat was abolished in a redistribution before the 1977 election,and he unsuccessfully challenged former prime minister William McMahon for preselection in the Division of Lowe. In 1996 he returned to serve the Parliament as Senior Adviser and then Chief of Staff to the Minister for Roads,Territories and Local Government. Affectionately known by many colleagues on the NSW Central Coast as "Sir John". In 2008 Abel retired from politics. In 2009 he moved with his wife and family to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. John Abel died in 2019.
Sir William John Aston,KCMG was an Australian politician. Born in Sydney,he attended state schools before becoming an accountant and company director. He served in World War II from 1942 to 1944,and was involved in local politics as a member of Waverley Council. In 1955,he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Liberal member for Phillip. He held the seat until 1961,when he was defeated by Syd Einfeld of the Labor Party. Aston returned to the House in 1963,defeating Einfeld. On 21 February 1967 Aston was elected Speaker. He held this position until the Liberal Government's defeat at the hands of Gough Whitlam in 1972,when Aston lost his seat. He died in 1997.
