Stephen Holder (born 1939) is a British philatelist who was invited to sign the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 2016. Holder is a former dealer in philatelic literature as HH Sales and a specialist in the philately of the Franco-Prussian War and Siege of Paris. He has also formed an award-winning collection of Alsace-Lorraine. [1]

Roll of Distinguished Philatelists

The Roll of Distinguished Philatelists (RDP) is a philatelic award of international scale, created by the Philatelic Congress of Great Britain in 1921. The Roll consists of three pieces of parchment to which the signatories add their names.

William Russell Lane-Joynt

William Russell Lane-Joynt, born in Limerick, was an Irish barrister, philatelist and Olympic shooter. He founded the Irish Philatelic Society in Dublin and assisted the Duke of Leinster to form his collection which was bequeathed to the Dublin Museum of Science and Art. Lane-Joynt was one of only two Irish philatelists to be honoured by signing the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists.

Sir David Parkes Masson was a British philatelist, who was one of the "Fathers of Philately" entered on the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1921. He was a wealthy banker in India, owned large estates in Malaysia, served as a British military officer, and held a number of important public offices in British India.

George Ernest Barker was a British philatelist who in 2009 signed the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists. From 1983 to 2001 he was Editor of The London Philatelist. He was a specialist in the stamps of France and its colonies.

Roger Brody is an American philatelist who in 2016 was invited to sign the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists. He is chairman of the Research Committee of the Smithsonian Museum's Council of Philatelists and is a specialist in early twentieth-century United States philately. Brody has received the Alfred F. Lichtenstein Memorial Award from the Collectors Club of New York, and the John H. Luff Award for Distinguished Philatelic Research from the American Philatelic Society.

Lars Engelbrecht Danish philatelist

Lars Engelbrecht is a Danish philatelist who in 2016 was invited to sign the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists. He is a specialist in the postal stationery of Denmark and a philatelic judge. Lars was chairman of the FIP Postal Stationery Commission from 2012 to 2018. He won the Lee Medal from the Royal Philatelic Society London in 2014.

Cheryl R. Ganz, FRPSL is an American philatelist who was appointed to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 2018.
