Stephen L. Roth

Stephen L. Roth is a judge on the Utah Court of Appeals. Roth was appointed to the Utah Court of Appeals by Governor Gary R. Herbert in March 2010. [1] Herbert stated, "In his almost eight years as a trial court judge, Judge Roth has distinguished himself as an intelligent and hardworking public servant with a well-deserved reputation for fairness and integrity." [2] Roth received his Juris Doctor degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1977. Roth was appointed to a judgeship with the Third District Court by Governor Michael O. Leavitt in 2002. [3] Roth retired from the Utah Court of Appeals on August 1, 2017. [4]

2016 Utah gubernatorial election

The 2016 Utah gubernatorial election was held on November 8, 2016, to elect the Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Utah, concurrently with the 2016 U.S. presidential election, as well as elections to the United States Senate and elections to the United States House of Representatives and various state and local elections.

Constandinos Himonas has been a Justice of the Utah Supreme Court since February 2015. After being nominated by Governor Gary Herbert, he was unanimously confirmed by the Utah Senate to the position. Prior to being confirmed to the Utah Supreme Court, Justice Himonas served as a trial judge in the 3rd District Court. Justice Himonas graduated from the University of Utah in 1986 and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago in 1989. Justice "Deno" Himonas is originally from Price, Utah and has Greek heritage. Prior to taking the bench, Himonas worked for 15 years at the law firm of Jones, Waldo, Holbrook & McDonough.

Jonathan E. Johnson

Jonathan "JJ" Johnson is an American business executive, currently serving as the CEO for Overstock.com. He was a candidate for the Republican nomination in the 2016 Utah gubernatorial election.

John A. Pearce is a Utah judge, appointed to the Utah Supreme Court in November, 2015 by Governor Gary R. Herbert. The Utah Senate later confirmed Pearce in a 21–0 vote in December 2015. Governor Herbert stated that "John has proven himself to be an exceptional legal talent in every aspect of his career and an exemplary jurist on the Utah Court of Appeals. He has a brilliant mind and is dedicated to the state of Utah. I am confident Judge Pearce is the right choice."
