Teddy Pierre-Marie Riner is a French heavyweight judoka. An eleven-time world champion in the heavyweight (+100 kg) division, two-time openweight world champion and one-time world champion with the French men's team, he is the first and only judoka in history to win twelve gold medals at the World Judo Championships. He is also the only judoka to be a five-time Olympic champion; having won the gold medal in the Men's +100 kg event at the Summer Olympics three times and, as a member of the French team, in the mixed team event twice. Additionally, he is a two-time Olympic bronze medalist, a five-time European champion, a four-time World Masters gold medalist and eleven-time Grand Slam winner in his weight category.
Israel has competed at the Olympic Games as a nation since 1952. Its National Olympic Committee was formed in 1933, during the British Mandate of Palestine. Israel has sent a team to each Summer Olympic Games since 1952, and to each Winter Olympic Games since 1994. Israel became a member of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in 1994. At the 2024 Summer Olympics, Israel won seven Olympic medals, the most up until this point, breaking Israel's record for Olympic medals per Olympics.
Ricardo Blas Jr. is a judoka from Guam who competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. The son of Ricardo Blas, himself a judoka and Olympic competitor, Blas Jr. began training at the age of five and eventually earned the nickname "The Little Mountain" due to his weight. He entered the heavyweight event at the 2008 Games on a wild card selection as the Oceania bronze medalist, losing all his bouts in both the main and repechage stages of the competition. He participated again at the 2012 edition and was eliminated in the second round of the tournament. At 218 kg (481 lb), he is the heaviest person to have competed at the modern Olympic Games.
Éva Csernoviczki is a Hungarian judoka. She became the first Hungarian woman to win an Olympic medal in judo, after getting the bronze in the Woman's Judo 48 kg in the 2012 Summer Olympics. She also competed in the women's 48 kg event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where she was eliminated by Galbadrakh Otgontsetseg in the repechage.
The Japanese martial art and combat sport judo has been practised in Canada for over a century. The first long-term judo dojo in Canada, Tai Iku Dojo, was established by a Japanese immigrant named Shigetaka "Steve" Sasaki in Vancouver in 1924. Sasaki and his students opened several branch schools in British Columbia and even trained RCMP officers until 1942, when Japanese Canadians were expelled from the Pacific coast and either interned or forced to move elsewhere in Canada due to fears that they were a threat to the country after Japan entered the Second World War. When the war was over, the government gave interned Japanese Canadians two options: resettle in Canada outside of the 'Japanese exclusion zone' or emigrate to Japan.

The British Judo Association is the United Kingdom's official governing body for judo – in which British citizens have won eighteen Olympic medals.
Tony Walby is a Canadian judoka who represented Canada in Judo at the 2012 Paralympics in the +100 kg category and - 90kg division in the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio. He won his first match, lost his second, and was then eliminated in repêchage.
Clarisse Bogdanna Agbegnenou is a French judoka. Competing in the −63 kg weight division she won the European title in 2013, the world title in 2014, an Olympic silver medal at the Rio 2016 Games, an Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Games, and the bronze medal at the 2024 Games in Paris, in her home country.
Judo was a sport at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, and featured around 393 judoka competing in 15 events, seven each for both men and women as well as a new mixed team event. The 2020 Summer Olympics were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the judo competitions were held in July 2021 at Nippon Budokan.

Jani Kallunki is a retired Finnish Paralympic judoka who competed in international level events, he also participated in goalball at the 1996 Summer Paralympics where he won the gold medal for his country. He is a double Paralympic bronze medalist, a European champion and a World bronze medalist.

Henry Borges is a blind Uruguayan para judoka who competes in international level events. He was the first Uruguayan Paralympic competitor to participate in three Paralympic Games, his highest achievement was reaching the bronze medal match at 2016 Summer Paralympics and lost to Alex Bologa.
Robert Kazuo Tanaka Jr. is a Paralympic judoka and represented Team USA in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Paralympic Games. Tanaka is a 2020 IBSA Pan American bronze medalist and finished top 5 in both the 2018 IBSA World Games and the 2019 IBSA World Games.
Elliot Stewart is a British Paralympic judoka. At the 2020 Summer Paralympics, he won a silver medal in the men's 90 kg event.
Judo competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris took place from 27 July to 3 August at Grand Palais Éphémère in Champ de Mars. The number of judokas competing across fourteen weight categories at these Games has been reduced from 393 in Tokyo 2020 to 372, with an equal distribution between men and women.
