Character

Creation and design

He wears a drab, olive-green shirt, a distinctive white tie, blue jeans, brown belt, and black sneakers. He is always seen wearing the formal shirt and tie even when working in occupations where such clothing is impractical, such as the Amazon warehouse. He has auburn hair, in a style similar to a grown-out crew cut.

In St. Patrick's Day, Stephen changed his white tie to a green one.

Personality

In the episode "Butters Very Own Episode", he appeared to be a loving father, who cares about his family. However, as the episode progressed, his son, Butters, accidentally exposed Stephen as a closeted man who participates in homosexual activities.

In future episodes, he was shown to ground his son for minor things, things that weren't his fault, and or things that were uncontrollable, as shown in the episode, "Ungroundable". He also prepared to beat his son with his belt, as shown in "Grounded Vindaloop".

However, he was also shown to be a good, loving father for his son, as shown in "Casa Bonita". Also, in the episode "Unfulfilled", he worked at Amazon just to support his son, for the bike parade.

Criminal Record

Attempted Enforced Cannibalism

In "Marjorine", Stephen murders a curtain company employee and tries to feed her dead body to Butters.

Child Abuse

In "Jared Has Aides", he and his wife beat up Butters for badmouthing them over the phone when it was really Eric Cartman who did it. He also locks Butters in the basement thinking he was a hell-spawn in "Marjorine". In addition, his perpetual "grounding" of Butters has affected Butters psychologically.

Drunk driving

In "Christmas Snow", Stephen, along with most other adults, decide to drive drunk.

Graverobbing

In "Marjorine", Stephen digs up "Butters" and reburies him at an old Indian burial ground as an attempt to revive him.

Human Trafficking

In "Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset", he is willing to sell Butters as Paris Hilton's pet for a large sum of money.

Lying To Authorities/Filing a False Police Report

In "Butters Very Own Episode", he and his wife lie to police and the press by saying that Butters was kidnapped by a Puerto Rican man when in actuality his wife put him in her car, which was streaming down bodies of water.

Murder

In "Marjorine", Stephen murders a curtain company employee with a shovel to feed Butters when they believe that his "resurrection" made him a hell-spawn.

Violence Against Women

In "The Pandemic Special", Stephen started a citywide brawl over mask-wearing by punching Alexis in the face.

Character Trivia

·He was interchangeably referred to as Chris or Stephen until Season 13, since which Stephen has become standard. [3]

·He probably has bruised testicles, because his son punched his testicles in "Grounded Vindaloop".

·Stephen's middle name, Willis, was revealed in "The Magic Bush".

·It was shown that he was passionate about drones in "The Magic Bush [4] ". His enthusiasm for drones was also implied in "South Park: The Fractured but Whole", evident by the fact he has a drone manual, titled "Drone Hobbyist Code of Conduct", that could be found in the bedroom drawer.

·In "South ParQ Vaccination Special", Stephen mentioned that he is a chain smoker.

·Stephen was shown to know data analysis in "South Park: Joining the Panderverse"

·In the episode "Butters Very Own Episode", it was revealed that he enjoys going to the "Studcat Theater" and the "White Swallow Spa".

·In the episode "DikinBaus Hot Dogs", it was revealed Stephen "attends" glory holes and uses affair websites, such as "Adult FriendFinder"

·Stephen's homosexual tendencies are also explored in "South Park: The Fractured but Whole", If you open the tiny drawer next to Stephen and Linda’s bedroom, you will find a greco-roman wrestling DVD with a tissue pack, hinting at the fact that Stephen masturbates to those videos.
Also, there is a photo of him having sex doggy style, as a bottom.
In addition to that, if you defeat him in combat, he drops a 1979's Men’s Underwear Catalogue and a tissue pack as a reward.
Additionally, if you go in "The Peppermint Hippo", Stephen has many animation sequences that play when he is sitting next to Stuart McCormick, such as bopping his head and blinking with a crooked smile, moving his eyebrows up and down, and opening his mouth with joy, all whilst looking at Stuart, so there might be a possibility that Stephen has feelings for him.
