After going undrafted in 2003, Battle earned a tryout opportunity with the St. Louis Rams and joined the team for rookie and veteran training camp. [2]
The Fargo-Moorhead Forum reported that Battle impressed coaches with his speed and playmaking ability as he attempted to earn a roster position during the preseason. He was later released as part of the team’s roster cuts. [2]
