The Oshawa Generals are a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League. They are based in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. The team is named for General Motors, an early sponsor which has its Canadian headquarters in Oshawa. In November 2016, the General Motors Centre changed its name to Tribute Communities Centre. Its 184 graduates to the National Hockey League are second in the OHL. The Generals have won the Memorial Cup five times -, as well as a record thirteen Ontario Hockey League Championships, the J. Ross Robertson Cup -

He played two games in the National Hockey League with the Chicago Blackhawks during the 1991–92 season. Williams was a twelfth round draft pick of the Blackhawks in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. He spent the majority of his career, which lasted from 1988 to 196, with the Indianapolis Ice of the International Hockey League.
The 2015 Memorial Cup was a four-team round-robin format tournament that began on 22 May and ended on 31 May, 2015. It was the 97th Memorial Cup championship and determined the champion of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL). The tournament was hosted by the Quebec Remparts of Quebec City, Quebec, who won the right to host the tournament over a bid by the Chicoutimi Saguenéens. They were joined by the WHL champion Kelowna Rockets, the OHL champion Oshawa Generals, and the QMJHL champion Rimouski Océanic.
