Steve "Renman" Rennie (born June 8, 1955) is an American talent manager and entrepreneur. He is the founder of RENManagement and RenmanMB, a platform that offers industry guidance for musicians. [1] [2]
Rennie began his music career booking concerts at USC. In 1980 he founded Rennie Presents to promote concerts independently. Booking concerts in the secondary markets that surrounded Los Angeles, he promoted up and coming 'new wave' bands including the Motels, The Plimsouls, Adam Ant, X, the Blasters, Mötley Crüe and INXS. On New Year's Eve 1983, he booked The Motels at the Beverly Theater in Beverly Hills, beating out established promoters for the LA show. [3]
In 1983 he was hired by Southern California concert promoter, Avalon Attractions. [4] In 1990 -- by then a senior vice president -- he left Avalon to found REN Management Corporation, where he managed bands including Dramarama, The Wonder Stuff, Ned's Atomic Dustbin, The The, and Primal Scream. [5]
In 1994, he was named senior vice president/general manager of Epic Records. An early advocate of music marketing on the web, [6] he developed online campaigns for Epic artists including Incubus, who he helped to sign, and Korn, who were the first band to appear live on the internet to promote a new album. In 1998 Rennie left Epic to become president of UBL, a division of the early internet site ARTISTdirect. [2] When Rennie informed the members of Incubus that he would be leaving Epic to join ARTISTdirect, guitarist Mike Einziger asked Rennie to co-manage the band. Rennie accepted the offer and stayed at ARTISTdirect until 2000, when he left the company to manage the band on a full-time basis. Shortly thereafter, the band released their breakthrough multi platinum selling album MAKE YOURSELF. The band went on to have a #1 Billboard Top 100 album, two #2 albums and a dozen Top 10 alternative radio hits. During his tenure as manager the band built a substantial global touring business. He managed Incubus until 2014, when he shifted his focus to RenmanMB. [1]

Incubus is an American rock band from Calabasas, California. The band was formed in 1991 by vocalist Brandon Boyd, lead guitarist Mike Einziger, and drummer José Pasillas while enrolled in Calabasas High School and later expanded to include bassist Alex "Dirk Lance" Katunich, and Gavin "DJ Lyfe" Koppel; the latter two were eventually replaced by bassist Ben Kenney and DJ Kilmore, respectively. Nicole Row replaced Kenney in 2024.
S.C.I.E.N.C.E. is the second studio album by American rock band Incubus. It was released on September 9, 1997, by Epic and Immortal Records. The album was certified gold by the RIAA, and is the second and final release to feature Gavin Koppel, who first appeared on the 1997 Enjoy Incubus EP. It has been occasionally considered the band's proper debut album, due to the nature of their independent release Fungus Amongus.

The Family Values Tour was an annual rock and hip hop tour held by the American nu metal band Korn since 1998. The first tour took place in 1998 and the second tour in 1999, but the tour took a hiatus in 2000 due to heavy competition from the Anger Management Tour, the Summer Sanitarium Tour, and others. The Family Values Tour happened again in 2001 before taking another hiatus, this time for four years. The Family Values Tour returned in 2006 with Korn and Deftones as the headliners. Another tour occurred in 2007, before taking another hiatus until 2013. In 2013 the event took place for the final time as a one-day music festival instead of the traditional tour under the name "Family Values Festival".
Life Is Peachy is the second studio album by American nu metal band Korn. It was released on October 15, 1996, through both Immortal Records and Epic Records. After the release of Korn's 1994 self-titled debut album, the band reunited with Ross Robinson to produce and went back to Indigo Ranch Studios to record. Life Is Peachy features such themes as drugs, social encounters, sex, betrayal, and revenge. The album has fourteen tracks, excluding the hidden track after "Kill You". Martin Riedl photographed its cover art, and its title is credited to Korn's bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu. Life Is Peachy was Korn's first significant breakthrough, which came from constant touring after the debut album's release and building a fan base, thus fueling great expectations.
Fungus Amongus is the debut studio album by American rock band Incubus, released on November 1, 1995, by Chillum Records, Incubus' own independent label. It was later re-released under Epic and Immortal Records on November 7, 2000, after popular demand.

The Troubadour is a nightclub located in West Hollywood, California, United States, at 9081 Santa Monica Boulevard just east of Doheny Drive and the border of Beverly Hills. Inspired by a visit to the newly opened Troubadour café in London, it was opened in 1957 by Doug Weston as a coffee house on La Cienega Boulevard, then moved to its current location shortly after opening and has remained open continuously since. It was a major center for folk music in the 1960s, and subsequently for singer-songwriters and rock. In 2011, a documentary about the club, Troubadours: Carole King / James Taylor & The Rise of the Singer-Songwriter, was released.
"Got the Life" is a song by American nu metal band Korn. It was released on November 23, 1998, as the second single from their third album, Follow the Leader (1998). The song was recorded in April 1998 at NRG Recording Studios. The band decided they would release the song as a promotional single after each member found that there was something "special" about the song. The single had "phenomenal success", and its music video was requested more than any other video on MTV's TRL, making it the first officially "retired" music video.
Korn Live: The Encounter is a live release by American nu metal band Korn, to promote their studio album Korn III: Remember Who You Are. It premiered on Sunday July 11, 2010 on HDNet, and then streamed on the band's Myspace profile. It was the band's first live album to feature drummer Ray Luzier who joined the band in 2009, as well as the second to last live album recorded as a quartet before original guitarist Brian “Head” Welch returns to the band in 2013.
If Not Now, When? is the seventh studio album by American rock band Incubus, released on July 12, 2011 and named after the novel by Primo Levi. Preceded by the singles "Adolescents" and "Promises, Promises", the album represented the band's longest gap between studio albums at the time, and their final full-length release through long-time label Epic Records. Described by guitarist Michael Einziger as "a very straightforward, concise album," If Not Now, When? was recorded in the wake of an extended hiatus, and produced by frequent collaborator Brendan O'Brien. The album's cover features high wire artist Philippe Petit.
