Steve Sarowitz (born 1965/1966) is an American billionaire businessman, and the founder of Paylocity.

Early life

Sarowitz earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. [1]

Career

Sarowitz owned 44% of Paylocity at its IPO in March 2014, and 28% in April 2019. [2]

Sarowitz has donated hundreds of millions of dollars to charity and plans to donate most of his wealth in the next decade. [3]

In December 2024, Sarowitz was sued by actress Blake Lively as a co-founder of production company Wayfarer Studios after allegedly saying he was prepared to spend US$ 100 million to defend against Lively's false allegations during the production of the 2024 film It Ends with Us against Sarowitz's business partner, director and cast member Justin Baldoni, and producer Jamey Heath. Personal life

Sarowitz is married to Jessica; the couple lives in Highland Park, Illinois. [2] He was raised Jewish, but later embraced the Baháʼí Faith. [2]

It Ends with Us is a 2024 American romantic drama film directed by Justin Baldoni from a screenplay by Christy Hall, based on the 2016 novel by Colleen Hoover. The film stars Blake Lively alongside Baldoni, Brandon Sklenar, Jenny Slate, and Hasan Minhaj. The story follows florist Lily Bloom (Lively), whose troubled relationship with neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (Baldoni) is compounded when her ex-boyfriend Atlas Corrigan (Sklenar) re-enters her life.

Kjersti Flaa is a Norwegian journalist and entertainment reporter. She is known for her resurfaced interviews which have gone viral on social media with celebrities such as Claudia Kim, Anne Hathaway, and Blake Lively. Flaa was mentioned in The New York Times reporting detailing Justin Baldoni's alleged coordination with a crisis management team to smear Blake Lively following filming on It Ends with Us (2024). Flaa has denied any involvement in the smear campaign against Lively.

Between 20 December 2024 and 21 January 2025, a number of lawsuits were filed concerning various issues on the set of the film It Ends with Us, which premiered in August 2024, and was a box-office success, grossing $351 million worldwide against a $25 million budget.
