A "sequel" to the group's highly successful 1996 hit "Po Pimp" and like "Po Pimp", "Still Po Pimpin" was produced by The Legendary Traxster and featured a guest verse from Twista and a chorus from Johnny P. The song became a minor hit, peaking at No. 62 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as reaching both the R&B and rap charts and to date is the group's final single to reach any of the three charts. The song also appeared on the group's 2003 compilation Greatest Hits .

UGK was an American hip hop duo from Port Arthur, Texas, formed in 1987, by Chad "Pimp C" Butler and Bernard "Bun B" Freeman. They released their first major-label album Too Hard to Swallow, in 1992, followed by several other albums charting on the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts, including the self-titled Underground Kingz album, which contained their single "International Players Anthem " and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, in August 2007. The duo has also been featured on hit singles by several other artists, such as "Big Pimpin'" by Jay-Z and "Sippin' on Some Syrup" by Three 6 Mafia. Pimp C founded UGK Records in late 2005. On December 4, 2007, Pimp C died in his West Hollywood, California hotel room.

8Ball & MJG is an American hip hop duo from Memphis, Tennessee. The two rappers met at Ridgeway Middle School in 1984. In 1993, the duo released their debut album Comin' Out Hard. They went on to release On the Outside Looking In (1994), On Top of the World (1995), In Our Lifetime (1999), Space Age 4 Eva (2000), Living Legends (2004), Ridin' High (2007) and Ten Toes Down (2010).

Carl Terrell Mitchell, better known mononymously as Twista, is an American rapper. He is best known for his chopper style of rapping and for once holding the title of fastest rapper in the world according to Guinness World Records in 1992, being able to pronounce 598 syllables in 55 seconds.

"One for Sorrow" is a song by British pop-dance group Steps that became the quintet's first single to reach the top five on the UK Singles Chart. Debuting at number two and spending 11 weeks on the UK chart, the song established Steps's intention to revive the ABBA sound, striking a considerable resemblance to their hit "The Winner Takes It All". "Pimpin' All Over the World" is a song by American rapper Ludacris featuring singer Bobby V. It was released in 2005 as the fourth and final single from the album The Red Light District and was produced by Polow da Don and Donnie Scantz. The song eventually became the most successful single from The Red Light District. The song features Ludacris rapping the verses throughout the song, and then accompanying Valentino on the chorus.
