Strat Andriotis (born April 21, 1963) is a Canadian-based guitarist and composer. [1]
Born in Elefsina, Greece, Andriotis began playing the piano at a young age taking classical piano lessons. Later on, he started playing the guitar with rock bands. [2] In the early 1990s, Andriotis started recording albums with pianist Tom Carney. [3] His first album titled First was released shortly after. [3]
In 2004, Andriotis released an album titled Nice. In 2007, he joined promoter Lou Molinaro in his band alongside, drummer Albert Bouchard. [3] Andriotis also played with drummer Roger Banks alongside keyboardist Jim Gilmour (Saga (band)) and bass icon Tony Levin. [3] In 2014, Andriotis released a new album titled Liars Incorporated. [3]
Andriotis earned his honors at the 2015 Hamilton Music Awards in the Instrumental Record of the Year, Classical Composition of the Year and Classical Recording of the Year for Liars Incorporated . All three of the guitarist's awards were handed out at the Saturday event, also held at Theatre Aquarius. In 2016, he released another album titled Less Off Patient with pianist Jeff Vidov and violinist Adrianna Lee. [4] In 2018, Andriotis came up with a new album titled Night Manager featuring jazz rock violin icon Jerry Goodman and pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba. [5] [6] In 2020, he released a new album titled Remember Me At Twilight. [1]

Charles Henry Christian was an American swing and jazz guitarist. He was among the first electric guitarists and was a key figure in the development of bebop and cool jazz. He gained national exposure as a member of the Benny Goodman Sextet and Orchestra from August 1939 to June 1941. His single-string technique, combined with amplification, helped bring the guitar out of the rhythm section and into the forefront as a solo instrument. For this, he is often credited with leading to the development of the lead guitar role in musical ensembles and bands.
Bôa is an English alternative rock band formed in London in 1993 by drummer Ed Herten, keyboard player Paul Turrell, and guitarist/vocalist Steve Rodgers. The band progressed from a funk band to a rock band over the years, as bassist Alex Caird and multi-instrumentalist Ben Henderson joined the group, and Jasmine Rodgers was added as vocalist. They produced two major albums, Twilight (2001) and Get There (2005). Their track "Duvet" was the opening theme song to the anime television series Serial Experiments Lain. The band was originally signed by Polystar in Japan and produced their first album The Race of a Thousand Camels (1998). However, the band decided to change labels and signed with Pioneer LDC to produce their album Twilight (2001). Bôa's current lineup consists of Jasmine Rodgers (vocals), Steve Rodgers, Alex Caird (bass), and Lee Sullivan.
Charles Edward Haden was an American jazz double bass player, bandleader, composer and educator whose career spanned more than 50 years. Building on the work of his predecessor bassists Jimmy Blanton and Charles Mingus, Haden revolutionized the harmonic concept of bass playing in jazz, evolving a way of playing that sometimes complemented the soloist, and sometimes moved independently, to help liberate bass players from a strictly accompanying role, to becoming more direct participants in group improvisation.
