Strikeforce/M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Henderson was a mixed martial arts event held by Strikeforce in association with M-1 Global. It took place on July 30, 2011 at Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. [1]
A planned bout between Rafael Cavalcante and Ovince St. Preux at this event was later scrapped from the card [2]
Evangelista Santos was originally scheduled to fight Tarec Saffiedine at this event. [3] However, Saffiedine was pulled from the bout and replaced by Paul Daley. [4] Soon afterwards, Santos was forced out of the bout with Daley due to a shoulder injury. [5] Undefeated welterweight Tyron Woodley stepped in to replace Santos against Daley. [6] Meanwhile, Saffiedine was moved to a bout with Scott Smith at this event. [7]
Roger Gracie was originally scheduled to face Muhammed Lawal at the event. [8] However, the bout was rescheduled for Strikeforce World Grand Prix: Barnett vs. Kharitonov that September after Gracie suffered a training injury. [9] Lawal won the rescheduled bout by first round KO.
Ronda Rousey and Sarah D'Alelio were originally scheduled to fight on this card, [10] but their bout was later moved to Strikeforce Challengers: Gurgel vs. Duarte.
Lyle Beerbohm was originally scheduled to face Gesias Cavalcante, but was replaced by Bobby Green on July 19, 2011. [11]
The bout between Marloes Coenen and Miesha Tate was originally scheduled to be for the Women's Welterweight belt, but it was renamed to a Women's Bantamweight Championship bout by Zuffa to achieve consistency with the weight class names in the promotion. [12]
With Fedor Emelianenko's departure from Strikeforce following this event, this was the last Strikeforce event to be co-promoted by his promotional team M-1 Global.
This was the last Strikeforce event featuring Gus Johnson on lead commentary. Strikeforce Challengers color commentator Pat Miletich replaced him on the promotion's main broadcast team at subsequent events, with Mauro Ranallo shifting to full play-by-play duties. [13]

Robert Lawler is an American professional mixed martial artist who has been competing since 2001. He is the former UFC Welterweight Champion, former EliteXC Middleweight Champion, and has formerly competed in Strikeforce, PRIDE, and the IFL. Known for his aggressive fighting style, Lawler is the only fighter to have won three consecutive "Fight of the Year" awards from Sherdog and MMA Fighting, for his bouts against Johny Hendricks, Rory MacDonald, and Carlos Condit.
Bryan Scott Smith, is a retired American mixed martial artist. A professional competitor since 2001, Smith was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter: The Comeback, and has competed for the UFC, Strikeforce, EliteXC and PFC. He is the former WEC Light Heavyweight Champion.
Gesias Cavalcante is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist currently competing in the Lightweight division for the World Series of Fighting. He was the 2006 and 2007 K-1 HERO Middleweight Champion, and has also fought for Strikeforce, DREAM, Shooto, and Cage Rage. Cavalcante also participated in the Dynamite!! USA event.
Tyron Woodley is an American professional mixed martial artist. He is a former UFC Welterweight Champion who defended his title four times. A professional since 2009, Woodley also competed at Strikeforce and was an NCAA Division I collegiate wrestler for the Missouri Tigers, becoming a two-time All-American and Big 12 Conference champion.
Patrick "Pat" Healy is a retired American professional mixed martial artist who last competed in the Lightweight division of ACB. A professional competitor since 2001, Healy has also formerly competed for the UFC, Strikeforce, the WEC, the IFL, the MFC, King of the Cage, Titan FC and Shark Fights. His twin brother, Ryan, is also a professional mixed martial artist. Healy holds notable wins over Dan Hardy, Paul Daley, and Carlos Condit.
