Stuart Campbell (born 1981), producing work under the name Sutu, is Australian artist and director who works with digital media. He has produced interactive webcomics, augmented reality stories, virtual reality films and virtual concerts. He lives and works in Los Angeles. [1]

Career

Campbell often locates his projects and presentations among isolated populations and involves the residents creating interactive web content including Neomad , a digital interactive comic series created for the iPad in collaboration with the community of Roebourne in northern western Australia. Neomad was adapted as a live-action television series in Australia and has inspired the Neo-learning curriculum in Australia.

NAWLZ is a 24-episode cyberpunk adventure webcomic created by interactive designer and illustrator Stu Campbell, also known as Sutu. The comic is designed for interactive storytelling, combining interactivity, animation, music and text. The comic first launched in late 2008 and was followed by an iPad format in 2011. The comic story follows Harley Chambers as he navigates through the city of Nawlz, a futuristic city full of overlaying virtual realities, mind-altering drugs and a myriad of techno cultures.

NEOMAD is a 3-episode futuristic fantasy adventure series, created as part of a governmentally supported community art project. The comic brings together live action film, with animation, music and voice overs. The series was created with the community of Roebourne, Western Australia as part of art and social justice organisation Big hART's Yijala Yala Project.

Way to Go is a 2015 Canada/France interactive film and virtual reality web-based experience created by the Montreal digital studio AATOAA and produced by National Film Board of Canada and France Télévisions. The production lets users take a virtual walk in the woods, through a combination of animation and immersive video.

<i>These Memories Wont Last</i>

These Memories Won't Last is a 2015 webcomic created by Stu Campbell. The infinite canvas webcomic written in HTML5 tells the story of Campbell's grandfather suffering from Alzheimer's disease. These Memories Won't Last is deliberately created to work with current web browser software and will likely not be readable with future technologies. The webcomic was nominated for an Eisner Award.

Ivan Cash is an American interactive artist, filmmaker, and speaker. His work celebrates human connection and explores themes of belonging in the 21st century. In 2016, Cash was named a Forbes 30 under 30 Artist, and in 2018 was appointed a member of the USPS Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee.
