The Studentenreisproduct is a form of free public transport for students in the Netherlands. Introduced in 1991, the system is a solution for students who don't live near their university or college. The central government intends for this to stimulate teenagers in the development of their education.

Studentenreisproduct is loaded as a product on the OV-chipkaart, a contactless travel card.

Students can choose either free transport on weekdays and a 40% discount on the weekend, or vice versa. [1]

On February 20, 2021, Longtail Aviation Flight 5504, an international cargo flight operated by Longtail Aviation from Maastricht, Netherlands, to New York, United States, suffered an engine failure shortly after departure that caused debris to fall to the ground near the Dutch town of Meerssen. Two people on the ground were slightly injured and there was property damage to buildings and cars. The Boeing 747-400(BCF) cargo plane diverted to Liege Airport with the failed engine shut down and landed there safely.

Big Brother 2024 is the fourth cooperation season of the Dutch and Belgian version of Big Brother. It is the tenth regular version of Big Brother in both Belgium and the Netherlands. In addition, it was an anniversary edition, as it was 25 years since the very first ever version of Big Brother aired in 1999 in the Netherlands. The show is broadcast on RTL5 in the Netherlands and Play4 in Belgium beginning on 15 January 2024. Live streams are available 24/7 on Videoland for Dutch viewers and on GoPlay.be and Telenet for Belgian viewers.
