The Suburban Studs were an English punk rock band, formed in Birmingham in 1976.
Reformed in 1996 for Holidays in the sun 3 day punk festival in Blackpool.
The band were signed to Pogo Records, an independent record label who had a distribution deal with WEA. Their only album, Slam , was released in 1977. It has recently been re-released by Anagram Records with extra tracks. They had two singles, "Questions" / "No Faith", released in 1977 and "I Hate School" / "Young Power", in 1978. None of their releases were hits.
They also appeared on the Hope & Anchor Front Row Festival double compilation (March 1978).
More recently they can be found on the Holidays in the Sun CD and DVD from the Blackpool 3 day punk festival in 1996.
Suburban Studs' fame results from their huge gigging schedule. They played the 100 Club gig in 1976 supporting the Sex Pistols and The Clash, and headlined above The Clash in Birmingham in the same year.
The band also toured with AC/DC and Judas Priest, played a Peel Session and appeared on an ATV punk special.
Their erstwhile saxophonist Steve Heart later went on to form the Neon Hearts, who were to become popular around the Midlands.
The band continued for another 18 months under the name "the studs" with new frontman and vocalist Steve "Bertie" Burton ( "Starfighters" the E numbers, vincent flatts final drive) Eddie Zipps continued to write the songs and play guitar in the band.
The band reformed for a short while in 1996, with Eddie on vocals and Keith Owen on guitar, they were joined by bass guitarist Roger Wilson (little Sister, Even Bigger) and drummer Dave Fell.
They performed at the Holidays in the Sun gig at Blackpool in 1996 and are featured on the CD and DVD of the three-day festival, they split up soon after this gig.

Zounds are an English anarcho punk/post-punk band from Reading, Berkshire, England, formed in 1977. Originally they were part of the cassette culture movement, releasing material on the Fuck Off Records label, and were also involved in the squatting and free festival scene. The name of the band is derived from the old English minced oath "zounds", a contraction of "God's wounds", referring to the crucifixion wounds of Jesus Christ, formerly used as a mildly blasphemous oath.

The 101ers were a pub rock band from the 1970s playing mostly in a rockabilly style, notable as being the band that Joe Strummer left to join The Clash. Formed in London in May 1974, the 101ers made their performing debut on 7 September at the Telegraph pub in Brixton, under the name 'El Huaso and the 101 All Stars'. The name would later be shortened to the '101 All Stars' and finally just the '101ers'. The group played at free festivals such as Stonehenge, and established themselves on the London pub rock circuit prior to the advent of punk.
The Living End are an Australian punk rockabilly band from Melbourne, formed in 1994. Since 2002, the line-up consists of Chris Cheney, Scott Owen, and Andy Strachan (drums). The band rose to fame in 1997 after the release of their EP Second Solution / Prisoner of Society, which peaked at No. 4 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart. They have released eight studio albums, two of which reached the No. 1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart: The Living End and State of Emergency. They have also achieved chart success in the U.S. and the United Kingdom.

The Farm are a British band from Liverpool. Their first album, Spartacus, reached the top position in the UK Albums Chart when it was released in March 1991; Spartacus 30 was released in 2021 to commemorate the anniversary. Spartacus includes two songs which had been top 10 singles the year before. In 2012, they toured with their Spartacus Live shows and formed part of The Justice Tonight Band, supporting The Stone Roses at Heaton Park, Phoenix Park, Lyon and Milan. The Justice Collective had the 2012 Christmas number one with their recording of "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother".

The Sound of Animals Fighting was an American rock supergroup founded by Rich Balling of Rx Bandits. In the band's initial run, they released a trilogy of records between 2004 and 2008, and performed only four live shows, following their second release in 2006. The band's live lineup consisted of 12 different musicians. The band often employed the use of animal masks to conceal their identity.

The Membranes are an English post-punk band formed in Blackpool, Lancashire in 1977, the initial line-up being John Robb, Mark Tilton (guitar), Martyn Critchley (vocals) and Martin Kelly (drums). Poisoned Electrick Head (PEH) is an English psychedelic indie rock/punk band formed in 1986 in St Helens, Merseyside, England. The band is best known for the 1994 independent chart hit "Out of Order" and for its fantasy-costumed stage act. Poisoned Electrick Head split up in 1998 and formally reformed in 2009. The band's name is taken from the final words sung by Vivian Stanshall in the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band track, "My Pink Half of the Drainpipe".

Tommy and Quadrophenia Live is a 3-disc DVD box set that includes performances by The Who from their 1989 and 1996-1997 tours. Whilst the Tommy part of the set had been already released on VHS, material from the Quadrophenia Tour had not been commercially available previously.

Championed by Radio 1 DJ John Peel, their most successful singles were 'Inside Out' and 'Goodbye My Love'. Band members are Phil Hendriks, Ian 'Strang' Barnes, 'Big' John McVittie and Tommy O'Kane (drums).
