Suitcase Sam is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Toronto, Ontario. He is known for his self titled project, playing with a full band sometimes described as Suitcase Sam and the Suits or Suitcase Sam and his Orchestra.
Suitcase Sam, inspired by the 1920's Jazz Age [2] and acts like Leon Redbone, [3] released his first EP Get It To Go in 2010. [4] He was originally signed with Pleasance Records. [5] [6] [7] [8] The album was later adapted into a short film for BravoFACT under the same name. [8] After joining Curve Music, Get It To Go was reissued in 2019. [8] [2] He has opened for acts like Courtney Barnett, Elliott Brood and Benjamin Booker. [1]
In 2019 on the Curve label, Suitcase Sam released Goodnight Riverdale Park to favourable reviews. [1] [9] [10] Album collaborations included Marlon Chaplin and members of The Lemon Bucket Orkestra. In October, 2020, a music video for "Frankie and Me" from the album was released, directed by Justin Friesen. [11] In June 2021, a new video for "Edge of Town" was released directed by Justine and Karly McCloskey. [12]
Sam Roberts is a Canadian rock singer-songwriter who has released seven albums. His debut EP The Inhuman Condition, reached the Canadian charts in 2002. He and his bandmates have released three albums as Sam Roberts and four albums as Sam Roberts Band. He is also a member of Canadian group Anyway Gang, who released their debut self-titled album in 2019. Metric is a Canadian indie rock band founded in 1998 in Toronto, Ontario. The band consists of Emily Haines, James Shaw, Joshua Winstead and Joules Scott-Key. The band started in 1998 as a duo formed by Haines and Shaw with the name "Mainstream". After releasing an EP titled Mainstream EP, they changed the band's name to Metric.

Jordan Whiston, better known by his stage name Jay Whiss, is a Canadian rapper and songwriter from Toronto, Ontario. He first gained international attention after the release of the single "Watch This", which appeared on OVO Sound Radio in late 2015. Whiss also appeared on the Noisey documentary 6IX RISING (2017), which showcased hip hop culture in Canada. He is one-third of the hip hop collective Prime Boys, alongside Jimmy Prime and Donnie. Prime Boys released their debut studio album Koba World on July 27, 2018; the album received a 9/10 score by Exclaim!. Whiss was also featured in the short film Remember Me, Toronto (2019) by Mustafa the Poet.
