Suneel Saraf [1] is an Indian politician. [2] He is a member of Madhya Pradesh legislative assembly. He was elected as MLA from Kotma Assembly constituency. [3]
Although India is a parliamentary democracy,the country's politics has become dynastic or with high level of nepotism,possibly due to the absence of party organizations,independent civil-society associations which mobilize support for a party,or centralized financing of elections. Supreme Court of India,in its judgement dated 10 July 2013 while disposing the Lily Thomas v. Union of India case,ruled that any Member of Parliament (MP),Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) or Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) who is convicted of a crime and given a minimum of two years' imprisonment,loses membership of the House with immediate effect.
