Sunrunners is a supplement in which a mercenary group is composed of the last survivors from the obliterated world of Barat-Tuul. The book provides lore, tactical depth, and campaign material—focusing on the Forward Frontier region of space and the gritty vengeance-driven operations of the Sunrunners. The supplement delivers 11 battle-driven scenarios (some featuring multi-part engagements), alongside guidance for incorporating Sunrunner forces into campaign play. It introduces two non-combat ships, six unique fighter designs, and two new weapon systems—EMP and Flak—offering players expanded strategic options. Many of the ships and weapons from Renegades are also reused here, with detailed stats and readouts included to integrate both supplements. [1]

Reception

Andy Butcher reviewed Sunrunners for Arcane magazine, rating it a 7 out of 10 overall, and stated that "Choosing between Sunrunners and Renegades isn't easy. Both books follow a similar format and offer similar information, albeit concerning different areas of space. The new weapons on offer here are slightly more complex, but offer more potential for new strategies and tactics than Renegades." [1]
