The Super Concert of the Century was a co-headlining tour by Diana Ross and the two tenors Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras. The tour, which began with a show in Budapest, played a total of three shows across Asia during 1997. Super Concert of the Century reached a total attendance of 229,000.
Concert plans, announced by Domingo during a Los Angeles press conference. In 1997, Diana Ross sang to Chiang Kai-shek in Taipei in front of 65.000 people join Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras. The same year they played at Osaka Dome in front of 42.000 people and later at Nepstadion in Budapest in front 80.000 people. They were called to celebrate the 1.100th Anniversary of the State of Hungary by the Magyar Arpad , as part of a yearlong series of cultural programs.

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Ross rose to fame as the lead singer of the vocal group The Supremes, who during the 1960s became Motown's most successful act, and are the best-charting female group in US history, as well as one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time. The group released a record-setting twelve number-one hit singles on the US Billboard Hot 100, including "Where Did Our Love Go", "Baby Love", "Come See About Me", and "Love Child".
José Plácido Domingo Embil is a Spanish opera singer, conductor and arts administrator. He has recorded over a hundred complete operas and is well known for his versatility, regularly performing in Italian, French, German, Spanish, English and Russian in the most prestigious opera houses in the world. Although primarily a lirico-spinto tenor for most of his career, especially popular for his Cavaradossi, Hoffmann, Don José, and Canio, he quickly moved into more dramatic roles, becoming the most acclaimed Otello of his generation. In the early 2010s, he transitioned from the tenor repertory into almost exclusively baritone parts, most notably Simon Boccanegra. He has performed 151 different roles.

The Three Tenors were a popular operatic singing group during the 1990s and early 2000s, consisting of Spaniards Plácido Domingo and José Carreras, and Italian Luciano Pavarotti. The trio began their collaboration with a performance at the ancient Baths of Caracalla in Rome, Italy, on 7 July 1990, the eve of the 1990 FIFA World Cup Final, watched by a global television audience of around 800 million. The image of three tenors in formal evening dress singing in a World Cup concert captivated the global audience. The recording of this debut concert became the best-selling classical album of all time and led to additional performances and live albums. They performed to a global television audience at three further World Cup Finals: 1994 in Los Angeles, 1998 in Paris, and 2002 in Yokohama. They also toured other cities around the world, usually performing in stadiums or similar large arenas to huge audiences. They last performed together at an arena in Columbus, Ohio, on 28 September 2003.
The HIStory World Tour was the third and final worldwide solo concert tour by American artist Michael Jackson, covering Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania and North America. The tour included a total of 83 concerts spanning the globe with stops in 57 cities, 35 countries on 5 continents. The tour was done to promote the 1995 HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I album, with hit singles like Scream, They Don't Care About Us, Earth Song and You Are Not Alone appearing in the new setlist. The second leg also promoted the remix album Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix. The tour was attended by approximately 4.5 million fans, beating his previous Bad World Tour with 4.4 million. A recording of the concert from Seoul Olympic Stadium was released on VHS in South Korea. A performance in Munich in July 1997 was recorded for DVD release, but the plans were later cancelled.

Carreras Domingo Pavarotti in Concert is a live album by José Carreras, Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti with conductor Zubin Mehta. The album was recorded on 7 July 1990 in Rome as the first Three Tenors concert with the orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the orchestra of Teatro dell'Opera di Roma on the evening before the 1990 FIFA World Cup Final. It was produced by Gian Carlo Bertelli and Herbert Chappell.

The book received high-level publicity during the 1998 Lewinsky scandal, as journalists compared Lewis' "hints" of an affair with popular opera singer, Plácido Domingo, to Lewinsky’s then-unproven allegations against U.S. President Bill Clinton. Here & Now Tour was a concerts tour by American singer Diana Ross from 1991 to 1992. It was a world tour that began in Asia where her album, "The Force Behind the Power" had gone gold. The tour was recorded live for a television special in Japan. The tour hit the English-speaking world in Australia with the second live recorded special from Perth. She landed in America, determined to play smaller markets like Syracuse and Poughkeepsie before sweeping across America. The summer dates were across Europe beginning in a continued 6 sold out Wembley/London across the continent as the 3rd single, "One Shining Moment" was hitting the Top 10. The Palais de Sportes in Paris was a highlight for two nights. The album continued to do well for the holidays when her huge Japanese hit "If We Hold on Together" became a European smash supported by the airing of "Christmas in Vienna" with Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras. Television exposure had been key throughout this tour. Earlier in the spring, Diana was invited to close the entire "Royal Command Performance for the Queen". It was there her first single from the album was destined for #1! The Royal Command Performance once again was instrumental in making the song a hit. She returned to America to do second round dates in major markets like New York. The tour had successfully conquered North America, Asia, the English-speaking world and Europe for over 100 dates.

The Three Tenors: Paris 1998 is a live album by José Carreras, Plácido Domingo, and Luciano Pavarotti with conductor James Levine. The album was recorded at a Three Tenors concert on 10 July 1998 during celebrations for the FIFA World Cup. The concert took place in front of the Eiffel Tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. The Orchestre de Paris accompanied the singers. The audience at the live concert numbered around 150,000 people. A sound system and large screens were placed along the Champ de Mars for the crowds further back to see and hear the performance. Producer Tibor Rudas claimed prior to the concert that 2 billion viewers were expected to watch the televised performance worldwide.
