The stories are linked in various ways, including the presence of dogs in each of them.

Also starring in the film are Susana Guízar, René Cardona and it is Pedro Infante's first starring role. This film is the first that Infante is not only credited for singing, but he sings the title song, Jesusita en Chihuahua, as well. In his previous movie however, En un burro tres baturros, Infante was cast as an extra but collaborated by singing in place of Carlos López Moctezuma.
