Susie De Los Santos (born November 6, 1988) [1] is an American model and DJ of Dominican and Mexican descent. De Los Santos is from Corona, Queens, New York. [2] She later began a career in modeling.

Achievements

In 2007, De Los Santos won the Miss North Carolina Hawaiian Tropic pageant and went on to compete in the United States Miss Hawaiian Tropic finals in Hawaii. [3] Later that year, she hosted a weekly entertainment segment for North Carolina's Univision [4] 40 called Muévete Carolina. [5] She also auditioned for America's Next Top Model and did not even make it to the top house. [6]

In December 2009, De Los Santos won Miss Dominican Republic for Fox Sports en Español's Premios Fox Sports out of over 50 contestants nationwide. [7] She has done promotions for Eurosport, Compare Foods and Wendy's. [8] In 2010, De Los Santos won Model Of The Year in the Carolina Music Awards. [9] Later that year, she won a national model search featured on Telefutura's Escandalo TV "Buscando la Modelo del Chapo de Sinaloa." In 2011 she appeared alongside El Chapo de Sinaloa as the lead model in his music video, "Embrujado." [10]

In 2010 De Los Santos won model of the year in the Carolina Music Awards. [9]

Nuestra Belleza Latina 2009

In 2009, De Los Santos auditioned for Univision's Nuestra Belleza Latina. [2] [11] Out of thousands of models, she was selected as a finalist and to date she is the only girl from North Carolina to have made it to the top 12. She was on the show for two months before she was eliminated. Susie gained international exposure and some degree of fame through her participation. Susie has been interviewed on various occasions on Univision shows including, Don Francisco Presenta, Despierta America and El Gordo y La Flaca.

NBL VIP "All★Star"- Nuestra Belleza Latina 2016

Susie De Los Santos has been chosen by producers to compete in the first ever "All★Star" season of Nuestra Belleza Latina, The season of Nuestra Belleza Latina 2016 will premiere on Sunday February 28, 2016. Susie was eliminated from the competition on 3/13/16 as the judge Osmel Souza said that her performance was worse than when she first auditioned in 2009

Susie is the owner of her own beauty pageant and magazine called Nuestra Belleza Carolina [12] and is C.E.O. of DLS Premiere. [13] She is part owner of Susie Taxi, a taxicab company in Durham, North Carolina. [ citation needed ]

Thirty contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by Rosa Maria Ojeda from Sinaloa, who later competed in Miss Universe 2007 in Mexico where she was a Semifinalist in the Top 10. Ojeda was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Priscila Perales. She was the second Sinaloan to win this title.

Nuestra Belleza Latina 2008 was the second season of Nuestra Belleza Latina, which premiered in February 2008 on Univision. Auditions were once again held in five major U.S. cities and in San Juan, Puerto Rico. During the audition process, 75 young women were given passes to the semifinals in Miami, Florida. The elimination process was quick, with 15 women leaving the first week, 40 in the second week, and finally, on March 28, 2008, eight women were eliminated leaving the 12 finalists who moved into a Miami mansion, where they lived for the rest of the competition.

For several weeks, Francheska Mattei, a professional actress, posed as one of the contestants to know the rumors, secrets, and even gossip from the girls. The elimination process was quick, with 15 women leaving the first day, 40 on the second week, and finally 8 women were eliminated leaving the 12 finalists who will be moving into a Miami mansion where they will be living together for the rest of the competition. Each week, viewers will have a chance to vote for their favorite finalists. The three women with the fewest votes will then be in danger of being eliminated. However, two of the women in the bottom three will have the chance of being saved, one by her fellow finalists, and the other by the judges. This year they had an "Intrusa", the one that spilled the gossip about the contestants and it was Puerto Rican, Francheska Mattei.

Nuestra Belleza Latina 2016 was the tenth season of Nuestra Belleza Latina aired on Univision. It was the first "All Star" season from the entire series. The season premiered on Sunday February 28, 2016 pushed back from previous season premiering in January. The season finale was on May 22, 2016.
