The West Midlands County is a metropolitan county and combined authority area in western-central England with a 2014 estimated population of 2,808,356, making it the second most populous county in England after Greater London. It came into existence as a metropolitan county in 1974 after the passage of the Local Government Act 1972, formed from parts of Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. The county itself is a NUTS 2 region within the wider NUTS 1 region of the same name. The county consists of seven metropolitan boroughs: the City of Birmingham, the City of Coventry and the City of Wolverhampton, as well as the boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull and Walsall.
Sutton Coldfield, officially the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield, is a civil parish and suburban town in Birmingham, England. The town lies about 7 miles northeast of Birmingham City Centre and borders Little Aston, North Warwickshire, Lichfield, Erdington and South Staffordshire. Historically in Warwickshire, it became part of Birmingham and the West Midlands metropolitan county in 1974. In 2015, the town elected a Parish/Town Council for the first time in its recent history.

Langley Hall is a country house in the village of Langley, Cheshire, England. It was built in about 1650, and is described by the authors of the Buildings of England series as "a distinguished house". The house is constructed in coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and is roofed in stone slate. It has two-storeys and an attic. The entrance front is symmetrical with seven bays and a central doorway. Above the doorway is a cartouche containing a carved face. It is inscribed MAC 1696. The house is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. It has been converted into three flats.

Stanley Hall (1917-1994) was a British-born ballet dancer with an eclectic career that ranged from the Vic-Wells Ballet to the Ballets de Paris, from major Hollywood movies to Broadway, and from TV specials to celebrity nightclub acts. Hall moved to Austin, Texas in the late 1960s and founded Austin Ballet Theatre, a ballet company that enjoyed great popularity for its monthly performances at the Armadillo World Headquarters from 1972-1980. In addition to his performance legacy, he was also a teacher and mentor to many aspiring dancers in Austin until his death in 1994.
Sutton Hall, originally called The Education Building, is a building on the University of Texas at Austin campus, serving as one of the three buildings supporting the School of Architecture, the others being Battle Hall and Goldsmith Hall. It was designed by Cass Gilbert, who also designed Battle Hall, the architecture library on the same campus. Originally, Sutton Hall housed the College of Education.
Hoole Village is a former civil parish, now in the parishes of Mickle Trafford and District and Guilden Sutton, in Cheshire West and Chester, England. It contains four buildings that are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as designated listed buildings, all of which are at Grade II. This grade is the lowest of the three gradings given to listed buildings and is applied to "buildings of national importance and special interest". The parish is located to the northeast of Chester, and contains only one substantial structure, Hoole Hall. This is a listed building, together with two associated structures. The only other listed building is a pinfold.
