The Swedish Film Institute (SFI) is a statutory body located in Stockholm, Sweden that supports the Swedish film industry. Founded in 1963, the institute is responsible for administering the annual Guldbagge Awards, and for managing the Swedish Film Database. Notable CEOs of the institute include founder-director Harry Schein and Anna Serner (2011–2021). Serner is known for creating an initiative which aimed for gender parity in the film industry. Since mid-April 2024 the CEO is Anna Croneman.

Singoalla is a 1949 Swedish–French film directed by Christian-Jaque, starring Viveca Lindfors and Alf Kjellin. It is based on the romantic novel The Wind Is My Lover by Viktor Rydberg, which in turn is based on a medieval legend of the love between a Romani woman and a nobleman. It was produced in three language versions: Swedish, French, and English. The Swedish and French versions were entitled Singoalla. The English version had three titles: Gypsy Fury (USA), The Wind is My Lover (UK), and The Mask and the Sword (UK). The Swedish and English versions starred Alf Kjellin as the nobleman, but the French version starred Michel Auclair. All three versions were edited separately – even scoring is slightly different. The Swedish and French run over 100 minutes, the English only 63 minutes.
The Staffan Stolle Story is a 1956 Swedish musical comedy film directed by Hasse Ekman. The film was selected as the Swedish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 29th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. The film stars Povel Ramel in a leading role, and features many scenes where Ramel performs musical numbers.
Ella Elisabet Lemhagen is a Swedish film director and screenwriter. In 2013 she received the honorary award, Gullspira, for her outstanding work in youth culture, in the Guldbagge Award, awarded by the Swedish Film Institute.

Bror "Oskar" Textorius was a Swedish actor, singer and theater director. Textorius made his stage debut in 1887 and participated in different theater groups before getting a job at Folkteatern in Stockholm in 1893. He started his own operett group which toured between 1899 and 1906, after that he worked in theater in Stockholm and between 1911 and 1918 he became the most noted operett-actor at Oscarsteatern. He worked at Scalateatern in Copenhagen, Denmark between 1918 and 1920 and worked as a stage leader at Stora Teatern in Gothenburg between 1920 and 1925, and later from 1937 and until his death.

Jersild starring Hans Alfredsson and Keve Hjelm The film's genre is difficult to classify, it's an absurdly told story on an absurd matter. It's presumably best described as a non comedy satire. A dry and serious encounter with the Swedish bureaucracy and democracy as of Sweden around 1970. The question "Is everything decided by a parliamentary majority the same as democracy?" is fundamental to this film.
