Sydney Tatiana Barros (born February 21, 2005) is an American artistic gymnast currently representing Puerto Rico in international competitions. While representing the United States she was a member of the team that won bronze at the inaugural Junior World Championships.
Barros was born to Bifredo and Carine Barros in 2005 in Atlanta, Georgia. She has four siblings. [2]
In 2016, Baros was part of the HOPEs program. She competed at the 2016 HOPES Championships where she placed second in the all-around behind Konnor McClain. She posted the third-highest scores on both vault and floor exercises. [3]
In 2017, Barros competed for the Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta. [4] She appeared in competition for the club from January through April and qualified for junior elite status at the KPAC National Qualifier. [4] [5] She then moved to Texas Dreams and in late July she competed at the 2017 U.S. Classic where she placed 18th in the all-around. [6] She qualified to compete at the 2017 National Championships where she placed 23rd in the all-around. [7]
In 2018 Barros competed at a verification camp where she placed fourth amongst the juniors behind Sunisa Lee, Kayla DiCello, and Jordan Bowers. Due to her performance, she was named to the team to compete at the Junior Pan American Championships; as a result, she was also added to the junior national team. [8] Later that month Barros traveled to Italy to compete at the 2018 City of Jesolo Trophy alongside her club teammates Ragan Smith and Emma Malabuyo. While there Barros only competed in the floor exercise and vault as she injured her ankle on the latter and withdrew from the remainder of the competition. [9] Due to the injury she also withdrew from the Pan American Championships. [10]
Barros returned to competition to compete at the 2018 U.S. Classic; however, she only competed on uneven bars and balance beam, finishing 13th and 31st respectively. [11] She competed the all-around at the 2018 National Championships where after day 1 she was ranked 17th. She withdrew from the second day of competition. [12]
Barros competed at the Parkettes National Qualifier, finished second behind éMjae Frazier, and re-qualified as a junior elite. [13] In June Barros competed at the Junior World Championships Trials where she placed third in the all-around and was named to the team to compete at the inaugural Junior World Championships alongside Skye Blakely and Kayla DiCello. [14]
At the Junior World Championships Barros helped the team win bronze behind Russia and China and finished fifth in the all-around. She qualified for the vault event final in first place. [15] During event finals Barros placed fifth on vault. [16]
In July Barros competed at the U.S. Classic where she won silver in the all-around behind Konnor McClain. Additionally, she won bronze on vault (behind McClain and Blakely) and balance beam (behind McClain and Ciena Alipio), silver on floor exercise behind Blakely, and placed sixth on uneven bars. [17]
In August Barros competed at the U.S. National Championships. After the first day of competition, she scored 55.250 and was in fourth place. [18] During the second day of competition scored a 54.550, giving her a total combined score of 109.850 which was a fifth-place finish. Barros won bronze on uneven bars behind Olivia Greaves and McClain and tied with DiCello and won silver on floor exercise behind DiCello. As a result, she was named to the junior national team. [19]
Barros became age-eligible for senior-level competition in 2021. She competed at the Winter Cup, U.S. Classic, and the U.S. National Championships.
Barros finished ninth at the 2022 Winter Cup. In November of that year she officially signed her National Letter of Intent with the UCLA Bruins. [20] Later that month the International Gymnastics Federation approved her nationality switch allowing Barros to start representing Puerto Rico in international competitions. [21]

MyKayla Brooke Skinner Harmer is an American former artistic gymnast. She was the 2020 Olympic vault silver medalist, competing as an individual, and was an alternate for the 2016 Olympic team. Skinner competed at the 2014 World Championships, where she contributed to the U.S. team's gold medal, also winning an individual bronze medal on vault. She won 11 total medals at the USA National Championships during her senior career. She also competed for the University of Utah's gymnastics team and was a two-time NCAA champion while also setting Pac-12 records for conference honors.
Jordan Lucella Elizabeth Chiles is an American artistic gymnast. She was a member of the gold medal-winning team at the 2024 Summer Olympics, having previously been a member of the silver medal-winning team at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She was also a member of the team that won gold at the 2022 World Championships. Individually, she was the 2022 World vault silver medalist and floor silver medalist. She has been a member of the United States women's national gymnastics team since 2013. In NCAA Gymnastics, Chiles competes for the UCLA Bruins gymnastics team, where she has won two Pac-12 titles and two NCAA championships.
Emma Lauren Bringas Malabuyo is a Filipino-American artistic gymnast. Born in the United States, she represents the Philippines internationally and competed for her country of birth in the past. She represented the Philippines at the 2024 Summer Olympics. She was a five-time member of the U.S. National Team and was an alternate for the 2020 Olympic team. She is currently competing for the UCLA Bruins gymnastics team.
Grace Ann McCallum is an American artistic gymnast. She represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal in the team event. She is the 2018 Pan American and 2018 Pacific Rim individual all-around champion, the 2018 Pan American uneven bars champion, and was a member of the U.S. gymnastics team that won gold at the 2018 and 2019 World Championships and the 2018 Pan American Championships.
Kayla Kecia DiCello is an American artistic gymnast. She is the 2021 World bronze medalist and the 2023 Pan American Games champion in the all-around. On the junior level, she is the 2019 Junior World vault champion and the 2019 U.S. Junior national all-around champion. She was an alternate for the 2020 Olympic team and the gold medal-winning 2023 World Championships team. She also competes for the University of Florida women's gymnastics team.
Leanne Ashley Wong is an American artistic gymnast. She was a member of the gold medal winning teams at the 2022 World Championships, 2023 World Championships, and the 2019 Pan American Games. She is the 2021 World all-around silver medalist, floor exercise bronze medalist, and was an alternate for the 2020 Olympic team and 2024 Olympic team.
Kara Eaker is an American artistic gymnast. On the balance beam she is the 2018 Pan American and 2019 Pan American Games champion and a two-time United States national silver medalist. On floor exercise she is the 2019 Pan American Games silver medalist and the 2018 Pan American bronze medalist. She was a member of the American teams that won gold at the 2018 and 2019 World Championships, the 2019 Pan American Games, and the 2018 Pan American Championships. She was an alternate for the 2020 Olympic team.
Olivia Greaves is an American artistic gymnast and was a member of the United States women's national artistic gymnastics team (2018–2022).
Vladislava Sergeyevna Urazova is a Russian artistic gymnast. She represented the Russian Olympic Committee at the 2020 Summer Olympics and won the gold medal in the team event. She was a member of the team who won gold at the inaugural Junior World Championships. Individually she is the 2019 Junior World Champion and 2021 European silver medalist on the uneven bars.
Ciena Alipio is an American artistic gymnast and former member of the United States women's national gymnastics team. She currently competes in NCAA gymnastics for the UCLA Bruins.
Aleah Cruz Finnegan is a Filipino-American artistic gymnast. Born in the United States, she represents the Philippines internationally and competed for her country of birth in the past. She was a member of the United States' women's national gymnastics team from 2019 to 2021 and was part of the team that won gold at the 2019 Pan American Games. She is the first Filipina gymnast in over 60 years to qualify and represent the Philippines at the 2024 Summer Olympics. She is the 2023 Asian Championships vault and balance beam bronze medalist and the 2021 Southeast Asian Games team and vault champion. She also currently competes for the LSU Tigers gymnastics team and is the 2024 NCAA floor exercise champion.
Shilese Jones is an American artistic gymnast. She was a member of the teams that won gold at the 2022 World Championships, 2023 World Championships, and the 2018 Pan American Championships. Individually she is the 2022 World all-around and uneven bars silver medalist and the 2023 World all-around and uneven bars bronze medalist. Jones is also a two-time U.S. National Champion on uneven bars (2022–2023) and the 2022 U.S. National Champion on floor exercise. She currently trains with Ascend Gymnastics.
Konnor McClain is an American artistic gymnast and a member of the United States women's national gymnastics team. She is the 2022 U.S National Champion and was the 2019 City of Jesolo Trophy and the 2019 U.S. Classic Junior All-Around Champion.
Skye Amiel Blakely is an American artistic gymnast. She was a member of the teams who won gold at the 2022 and 2023 World Championships, silver at the 2022 Pan American Championships, and bronze at the inaugural Junior World Championships.
Emily Whitehead is an Australian artistic gymnast. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, she won a bronze medal in the team event and on the vault. She represented Australia at the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games and is a two-time Oceanic all-around champion (2021-22). She is the 2015 Australian junior national all-around champion and a three-time national all-around medalist at the senior level. She won a silver medal on the vault at the 2018 Melbourne World Cup.
Martina Maggio is an Italian artistic gymnast. She represented Italy at the 2020 Olympic Games.
