Syed Hasanur Rahman (born 19 April 1969) is a Bengali singer-songwriter,and lead vocalist of the Bangladeshi popular Rock band Ark . Possessing a distinctive and powerful wide-ranging high pitch voice,[5] Hasan has been named one of the best vocalist of bangladeshi band music history. [1] [2] He joined the band in 1996 as the main vocalist. [3] After six years of journey with the band, Hasan left the Ark in 2002 and formed new band Swadhinata in 2004. [3]
Hasan performed more than 200 songs. [4] But after two years he formed Janmabhumi, though in late 2010 Hasan re-joined the band Ark.
In 1989–90, Hasan was admitted to a certificate course on folk music at Bulbul Lalitakala Academy.
Hasan married to Farhana Mazid in August 2000, who was born in Comilla. The couple have a son (Hasin) and a daughter (Nurjahan), all currently living in Lalmatia, Dhaka.

Aurthohin is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Dhaka in 1998 by Saidus Sumon, Tonmoy Rahman, Ponir and Rumi Rahman. They are considered to be one of the pioneering bands in Bangladeshi alternative rock music. The band was seen as revolutionary within the rock scene in Bangladesh and played a huge part promoting rock/metal music in the country by supporting underground rock/metal bands in Bangladesh. They have released 8 studio albums and also have appeared in some mixed albums. Though they were formed as a rock band they have experimented with genres like progressive metal and groove metal. Sumon's interests in slap bass also led the band's sound into funk-rock. Aurthohin currently holds a lineup of Saidus Khaled Sumon (bass), Mark Don (drums) and Zahin Rashid.
Ark is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in 1991 in Dhaka City by keyboardist Ashiquzzaman Tulu. The original founder members are Ashiquzzaman Tulu, Ridwan Nabi Pancham and Shamim. As of 2017, the band line-up re-consists of lead vocalist Syed Hasanur Rahman, keyboardist Tinku Azizur Rahman and drummer Hassan Towhidur Rahman.
