Sykur (Sugar in Icelandic) is an Icelandic band, which was founded in 2008. [1]
Mesópótamía , released in Iceland in 2011, [2] saw the band develop their much-loved electro sound. Their single is "Curling", remixed by Dan Le Sac and Database.
Sigur Rós is an Icelandic post-rock band from Reykjavík, active since 1994. Known for their ethereal sound, frontman Jónsi's falsetto vocals, and their use of bowed guitar, the band's music incorporates classical and minimal aesthetic elements.
The Jayhawks are an American alternative country and country rock band that emerged from the Twin Cities music scene during the mid-1980s. Led by vocalists, guitarists and songwriters Gary Louris and Mark Olson, its country rock sound was influential on many bands who played the Twin Cities circuit during the 1980s and 1990s like Uncle Tupelo, the Gear Daddies and the Honeydogs. They have released eleven studio albums with and without Olson who left the band in 1995, including five on the American Recordings label. On hiatus from 2005 to 2009, the 1995 lineup of the band reunited, releasing the album, Mockingbird Time, in September 2011. After the tour, Olson again left the band. After another hiatus in 2013, the 1997 lineup led by Louris reunited to play shows in 2014 to support the reissue of three albums released between 1997 and 2003. The band has remained active touring and recording since, including the release of the albums Live at The Belly Up in 2015, Paging Mr. Proust, produced by Peter Buck in 2016, Back Roads and Abandoned Motels in 2018 and XOXO in 2020.

Bayside is an American punk rock band from the Bayside, Queens neighborhood of New York City, United States, formed in 2000 by lead vocalist Anthony Raneri. The group also consists of lead guitarist Jack O'Shea, bassist Nick Ghanbarian, and drummer Chris Guglielmo.

Eisley is a rock band from Tyler, Texas, originally consisting of siblings Sherri DuPree, Chauntelle DuPree, Stacy DuPree and Weston DuPree. Remaining recording/touring members are cousins Sherri DuPree-Bemis and Garron DuPree. Their name was inspired by the Star Wars saga. Since forming, the band has released five studio albums: Room Noises (2005), Combinations (2007), The Valley (2011), Currents (2013), and I'm Only Dreaming (2017), along with numerous EPs. Eisley has recorded videos for "Marvelous Things", "I Wasn't Prepared", "Telescope Eyes", "Invasion", "Memories", "Smarter", "The Valley" and "Currents", which can be viewed on their official website, but largely, the band's strong, steady, organic growth comes from touring and an aggressive online marketing approach.

Versa was an American rock duo formed in Port St. Lucie, Florida, in 2006, as VersaEmerge. The group consisted of Blake Harnage and Sierra Kay. They had a revolving line-up, their most prolific being with bassist Devin Ingelido, who was a member from 2007 until 2011.
The Empire Shall Fall is an American band formed by Jesse Leach with friends in 2008. The band released their first independent album Awaken which was released on November 17, 2009, until Jesse and Nick left The Empire Shall Fall in 2019. Nick Sollecito also left The Empire Shall Fall to focus on his other band, The Dear Hunter. The Empire Shall Fall currently consists of singer Alan Feeney, guitarists Jake Davenport and Marcus de Lisle, bassist Dylan Nash, and drummer Jeff Pitts.
Dóra Stefánsdóttir is a retired Icelandic footballer who last played for Swedish club LdB FC Malmö. Dóra was part of Iceland's national team and competed in UEFA Women's Euro 2009. She retired in 2010 due to a knee injury.
Title Fight is an American rock band from Kingston, Pennsylvania, formed in 2003. They have released 3 studio albums – Shed (2011), Floral Green (2012) and Hyperview (2015) – gradually shifting from a hardcore punk-oriented sound towards an emphasis on mellow atmospheres. Hyperview was released through ANTI-, a record label to which the band signed in July 2014.
The Jet Age of Tomorrow is an American production duo from Atlanta, Georgia that consists of producer-singer Matt Martians, and producer-rapper Pyramid Vritra. According to Martians, the group's music originated from instrumentals turned down by Tyler, The Creator and Hodgy Beats, who liked the tracks Martians sent them, but could not use them in their own music.
Of Monsters and Men are an Icelandic indie folk/rock band formed in Reykjavík in 2010. The members are lead singer and guitarist Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, singer and guitarist Ragnar "Raggi" Þórhallsson, lead guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson and bassist Kristján Páll Kristjánsson. The band won the Músíktilraunir in 2010, an annual battle of the bands competition in Iceland. In 2011, Of Monsters and Men released an EP titled Into the Woods. The band's 2011 debut album My Head Is an Animal, reached the No.1 position in Australia, Iceland, Ireland and the US Rock and Alternative charts, while peaking at No. 6 on the US Billboard 200 album chart, No. 3 in the UK, and Top 20 of most European charts and Canada. Its lead single "Little Talks" was an international success, reaching the Top 10 in most music charts in Europe, including No. 1 in Ireland and Iceland, and No. 1 on US Alternative Songs.
My Head Is an Animal is the debut studio album by the Icelandic indie folk band Of Monsters and Men, released through Record Records in Iceland on 20 September 2011. After their success, topping the Icelandic charts with their debut single, "Little Talks", the band signed with Universal Music Group and the album was released internationally through Republic Records on 3 April 2012. The title of the album comes from the second line in "Dirty Paws".
The 2013 Billboard Music Awards ceremony was held on May 19, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was aired on ABC at 8:00/7:00 PM central. The show was hosted by Tracy Morgan.
Halleluwah is an Icelandic musical band fronted by singer and hip hop artist Sölvi Blöndal, a member of the famous band Quarashi. Blöndal formed Halleluwah finding success with "K2R" and "Whiplashes" they released the charting single "Blue Velvet" that features on lead vocals Raketa, real name Rakel Mjöll, who had been a vocalist in Útidúr and Sykur.
Bedroom Community is an Icelandic record label/collective which was founded in 2006 by producer Valgeir Sigurðsson, alongside fellow artists Nico Muhly and Ben Frost, later adding more artists to the roster. Based on the outskirts of Reykjavík, Iceland, Bedroom Community is also the home of Greenhouse Studios.
Mammút is an Icelandic rock band based in Reykjavík. Formed in 2003 as ROK, an all-female trio highlighting vocalist Kata, the group expanded in early 2004 to a 5-piece band by recruiting guitarist Arnar Pétursson and drummer Andri Bjartur Jakobsson, and adopted the new name Mammút.
Jeb Ivey is an American former professional basketball player. He won the Icelandic championship twice, with Njarðvík in 2006 and with Snæfell in 2010, and the Finnish championship twice, with Nilan Bisons Loimaa in 2012 and 2013 where he was named the Korisliiga Finals MVP both times.
Hatari are an Icelandic techno, industrial and punk rock band and performance art group from Reykjavík. Their public image incorporates elements of anti-capitalism and BDSM-inspired attire. The band consists of Klemens Hannigan, Matthías Haraldsson and Einar Stefánsson, and has released one album and one extended play, encompassing several singles. Hatari represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with their song "Hatrið mun sigra", finishing 10th in the final.
