Sylvain Locas (born February 17, 1958, in Chicoutimi, Quebec) is a former professional ice hockey centre.
Prior to turning professional Locas played four seasons (1974–78) in the QMJHL with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens and Sherbrooke Beavers. Locas was drafted in the sixth round by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft but never managed to play in the National Hockey League.
Locas played 75 games of professional hockey in the CHL with the Kansas City Red Wings, 36 games in the AHL with the Nova Scotia Voyageurs and Adirondack Red Wings, and 25 games in the IHL with the Kalamazoo Wings and Milwaukee Admirals before retiring from professional hockey in 1980.
Locas returned, after nearly a decade away from the game, to play for Brûleurs de Loups based in Grenoble, France in the Ligue Magnus for two seasons.

The Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League is one of the three major junior ice hockey leagues that constitute the Canadian Hockey League (CHL). Officially the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League until 2023, the league includes teams in Quebec and the Maritime provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island.

Yuri Gennadievich Butsayev ; born October 11, 1978) is a Russian former professional ice hockey winger. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Detroit Red Wings and the Atlanta Thrashers. He was drafted in the second round, 49th overall, by the Red Wings in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. Yuri is the brother of the former NHL player Viacheslav Butsayev.

The 1994 Memorial Cup was held May 14–22 at the Colisée de Laval in Laval, Quebec. It was the 76th annual Memorial Cup competition and determined the major junior ice hockey champion of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL). Participating teams were the host Laval Titan from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, as well as the winners of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League and Western Hockey League, which were the Chicoutimi Saguenéens, North Bay Centennials and Kamloops Blazers. Kamloops won their second Memorial Cup, defeating Laval in the final game.

Internationally Mellor played for the American national team at the 1972 Winter Olympics, winning a silver medal.

The league renamed its divisions in honour of Robert Lebel and Frank Dilio, two lifetime contributors to ice hockey in Quebec. The East Division became the "Dilio Division" and the West Division became the "Lebel Division." Ten teams played 72 games each in the schedule. The Quebec Remparts finished first overall in the regular season to capture the Jean Rougeau Trophy. The Sherbrooke Castors won the President's Cup defeating the Quebec Remparts in the finals.
The Johnstown Red Wings were a professional ice hockey team based in Johnstown, Pennsylvania They were founded as a member of the Eastern Hockey League in the 1979-80 season. The Red Wings were used as an affiliate to the Adirondack Red Wings of the AHL. At the time, Adirondack was the primary affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings.
