Whatcom County is a county located in the northwestern corner of the U.S. state of Washington, bordered by the Lower Mainland of British Columbia to the north, Okanogan County to the east, Skagit County to the south, San Juan County across Rosario Strait to the southwest, and the Strait of Georgia to the west. Its county seat and largest population center is the coastal city of Bellingham, comprising the Bellingham, WA Metropolitan Statistical Area, and as of the 2020 census, the county's population was 226,847.

The Alabama Steeldogs, originally known as the Birmingham Steeldogs, were incorporated in 2000 as one of the charter teams in the AF2, the developmental league of the Arena Football League. Management announced that it would not field a team in 2008 but had hopes of returning in 2009. But the team's front office has since been dissolved, and with no announcements of further plans, the team is defunct.

Jarious K. Jackson is an American professional football coach and former player who is the offensive coordinator, and quarterbacks coach for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He has also been a coach for the Toronto Argonauts, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and BC Lions and served as the interim head coach for the Elks in 2024. Jackson played professionally as a quarterback in the CFL for eight seasons with the Lions and one year with the Argonauts where he won three Grey Cup championships in 2006, 2011, and 2012. He has also been a member of the Denver Broncos (NFL), to whom he was drafted 214th overall in the 2000 NFL draft, and the Barcelona Dragons. Jackson played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Vaughn Samuel "Buddy" Alliston Jr. was a professional American football player who played the positions of guard and linebacker. He played college football at the University of Mississippi before being drafted by the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL) in the 15th round of the 1956 NFL draft. Alliston first played professionally in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. In 1956, he was the runner-up for the CFL's Most Outstanding Lineman Award. After years of military service, he played in the American Football League (AFL) for the Denver Broncos in 1960.
Roger Aldag is a Canadian former professional football offensive lineman who played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 1976 through 1992. He was part of the Grey Cup championship-winning Roughriders in 1989. Aldag currently holds the Roughrider record for games played with 271 regular season games and 5 play-off games.

Adams was released at the end of the first week of the Oilers' 1971 training camp before the first preseason game.
Buford Needham "Butch" Allison was an American professional football player who was an offensive lineman for the Baltimore Colts and New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL) and the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for the Missouri Tigers. Allison was selected in both the seventh round of the 1966 AFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders and the second round of the 1966 NFL draft by the Baltimore Colts, who he played the 1966 NFL season with. He played for both the New Orleans Saints and Edmonton Eskimos in 1967.
Randy Ambrosie is the 14th and current commissioner of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Ambrosie played Canadian football professionally as an offensive guard for the CFL's Calgary Stampeders, Toronto Argonauts, and Edmonton Eskimos. He was selected with the second overall pick in the 1985 CFL Draft by the Stampeders. Over the course of a nine-season career, he played in 142 professional games and became a Grey Cup champion. Ambrosie played CIAU football at the University of Manitoba.
David Amer is a former professional Canadian football tight end who played for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. He was selected in the third round of the 1982 CFL Draft by the Stampeders and went on to play five games professionally. Amer played college football for the Simon Fraser Clan.
