T. Rattinasami Nadar

Rao Bahadur T. Rattinasami Nadar was the founder of Nadar Mahajana Sangam. He founded the organisation with a number of leaders from Nadar community under the presidency of his uncle in 1910. The Sangam was founded to extend demands for membership in the Madras Legislative Council. Rettinasami Nadar died one year after the founding of the Sangam. [1]

W. P. A. Soundarapandian Nadar

Woothampatti Punnaivana Ayya Soundarapandian was a leading figure in Nadar Mahajana Sangam and became the first Nadar member of the Madras Legislative Council upon a recommendation by P.T. Rajan in 1920. He is known for his effort to associate the Nadar community with the Self-Respect Movement founded by Periyar E. V. Ramasamy. He was known as the uncrowned king of the Nadar community.

Nadans are a small endogamous group of aristocratic Nadars from the regions south of the Thamirabarani River in the present-day state of Tamil Nadu, India. They were hereditary tax collectors during the Nayak and Pandyan dynasties and also served as petty lords under the poligars. The Nadans possessed vast tracts of land and were one of the few subcastes among the Nadars to have practiced aristocracy. The term Nadan means lords of the land.

Nadar Mahajana Sangam S. Vellaichamy Nadar College is an educational institution located at Nagamalai, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. It was started in 1965 by Nadar Mahajana Sangam and offers bachelors and master's level degrees. The college is affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University. It is a co-educational, autonomous and ISO 9001:2008 certified institution and was re-accredited as "A" grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore on 10 March 2012.

Poraiyar Nadar's estate, popularly known as Nadar estate was one of the largest zamindari estate in the erstwhile Tanjore district of Madras Presidency, British India. Headquartered in the village of Poraiyar, Nadar's estate covered a total area of 7000 acres.
