It was founded in 1995 and is based in the Czech Republic at the Hradec Králové Airport which is 100 km east of Prague.

Having developed over 50 aircraft systems during its 20-year history TL elektronic's customer list has grown to include BAE Systems, Rotax, Honeywell, Extra Aircraft and the Red Bull Air Race World Championship.
