Irving is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, located in Dallas County. It is part of the Mid-Cities region of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex and is an inner ring suburb of Dallas. Irving is noted for its racial and ethnic diversity. The city had a population of 256,684 according to the 2020 United States Census, making it the twelfth-most populous city in Texas, and the 87th most populous in the U.S. Irving includes the Las Colinas mixed-use master-planned community and part of the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
