TV Warehouse is an infomercial-based shopping channel brand based in the UK. The channel is owned and was originally launched by Canis Media.

History

TV Warehouse first launched in November 2001 by Canis Media. A sister channel TV Warehouse Select was launched in May 2002. In May 2005, both TV Warehouse channels were sold to TV Network. [1]

In 2008, TV Network went into liquidation. JML purchased both channels and TV Warehouse Select was rebranded TV Warehouse 2.

On 2 February 2009, both channels were rebranded and were replaced by JML Home & DIY and Shop Now TV.

On 11 September 2013, Canis Media relaunched TV Warehouse on Sky channel 657 and Freesat channel 804. It was moved to Sky channel 667 on 19 August 2014 and removed from Freesat later the same month. TV Warehouse continues to air popular and well known infomercials in Poland and the UK.

It moved to Sky channel 676 on 1 May 2018.

Argos Limited, trading as Argos, is a catalogue retailer operating in the United Kingdom and Ireland, acquired by Sainsbury's supermarket chain in 2016. It was established in November 1972 and is named after the Greek city of Argos. The company trades both through physical shops and online, with 29 million yearly shop customers, and nearly a billion online visitors per annum. It has also franchised overseas to countries such as China.

Scuzz Defunct British top-rated rock music channel

Scuzz was a British 24-hour rock and metal music television channel owned and operated by Sony Pictures Television. It was launched on 17 April 2003 and went on to be the highest-rated rock TV station on the Sky satellite platform, available in over 12 million homes in the UK and Ireland. The channel ceased transmission on 15 November 2018. The channel broadcast mainstream rock, pop-punk, and metal, with unsigned and lesser known bands featuring in the late night show 'New Noise'. Scuzz tended to play a broader selection of music videos compared with the other British rock channels MTV Rocks and Kerrang! although K! and Scuzz did share quite a few songs. The channel was known to break many UK artists including Enter Shikari, Young Guns, You Me At Six, Bullet For My Valentine, Lower Than Atlantis and later Milk Teeth and Creeper. International bands were often first broadcast on Scuzz TV, the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce The Veil, Letlive, All Time Low and Paramore all first appeared on UK TV on Scuzz.

Freesat is a British free-to-air satellite television service, first formed as a joint venture between the BBC and ITV plc. The service was formed as a memorandum in 2007 and has been marketed since 6 May 2008. Freesat offers a satellite alternative to the Freeview service on digital terrestrial television, with a broadly similar selection of channels available without subscription for users purchasing a receiver.

QVC (British TV channel) British television channel

QVC UK is a television shopping channel broadcast from the United Kingdom to the United Kingdom and Ireland. It was formed in 1993 when QVC, Inc. agreed to a deal with Sky TV to create a UK version of the US channel. "QVC – The Shopping Channel" first broadcast in the UK on 1 October 1993.

There are four major forms of digital television (DTV) broadcast in the United Kingdom: a direct-to-home satellite service from the Astra 28.2°E satellites provided by Sky UK, a cable television service provided by Virgin Media ; a free-to-air satellite service called Freesat; and a free-to-air digital terrestrial service called Freeview. In addition, an IPTV system known as BT Vision is provided by BT. Individual access methods vary throughout the country. 77% of the United Kingdom has access to HDTV via terrestrial digital television. Satellite is the only source of HDTV broadcast available for the remaining 23%.

TJC (TV channel) British home shopping channel and retailer

TJC is a British home shopping channel and online retailer specialising in jewellery, home, beauty, fashion, gemstones and other lifestyle accessories. It is one of the main TV shopping channels in the UK. The channel launched on 4 April 2006, and currently broadcasts 24 hours a day.

JML Direct TV Series of British television shopping channels owned by John Mills Limited

JML Direct TV is a generic name for a series of British shopping channels broadcasting on the Sky, Freesat and Freeview platforms, owned by JML Direct Limited. JML Direct TV originally launched on Sky channel 664, on 1 October 2002 as JML Direct. Due to various Sky EPG reshuffles, this original channel is located on channel 661 as of 2018.

High-definition television in the United Kingdom is available via cable, IPTV, satellite and terrestrial television. The first high-definition broadcasts began in late 2005 and since then the number of channels available to view has grown to a maximum of 87 that can be viewed on pay-TV service, Sky.

EeZee tv

eeZee tv was a live British shopping channel broadcasting on Sky Digital. The channel launched on 1 March 2005.

BET International was a British-Irish free-to-air television channel centred towards black culture. Before its replacement with a domestic version, it also aired in Africa, along with the Middle East/North Africa region. It was launched on 28 February 2008 in the UK with headquarters in London. BET broadcast content from the main Black Entertainment Television channel in the US and Canada. No UK-originated content was ever produced for the channel.

Juwelo UK was a falling-price auction-style home shopping channel specialising in jewellery, the primary competitors to other shopping channels. The channel broadcast live from 08:00 to 23:00 daily on Sky channel 681, Freesat channel 814, Freeview channel 92 (02:00–05:00) and Freeview channel 271. The channel was renamed to Juwelo UK on 15 May 2018. It was closed on 13 March 2019.
