Blackmore's Night is a British-American neo-medieval folk rock band formed in 1997, consisting mainly of Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night. Their lineup has seen many changes over the years; Blackmore and Night have been the only two constant members. They have released eleven studio albums. Their early releases were mostly acoustic and imitated early music, but eventually Blackmore's Night started using more electric guitars and other modern instruments, as well as performing folk-rearranged cover versions of pop and rock songs.

ThaMuseMeant is an American folk-rock quartet. The band has had three permanent members since the beginning: Aimee Curl, Nathan Moore, and David Tiller. Prior to 2001 the band contained Jeff Sussman on percussion instead of Enion Pelta-Tiller on violin, who joined in 2003. Originally from Virginia, the bandmembers met in Austin, Texas. They spent some time in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Portland, Oregon, oscillating between these two Western cities. Nathan Moore's poetic lyrics, Aimee Curl's singing style combines with David Tiller and Enion Pelta-Tiller's technique in their respective instruments to create a unique sound. Movin By Lovin is the title of one of their songs, which is also the title for a documentary about ThaMuseMeant. ThaMuseMeant toured in the Summer of 2007 for the first time in two years and played at the High Sierra Music Festival in July 2007.

The Greatest Hits Collection II is the second compilation album by American country music duo Brooks & Dunn. It is the sequel to the duo's 1997 compilation The Greatest Hits Collection. It is also the second collection of the duo's most popular releases, chronicling their greatest hits from 1998's If You See Her, 2001's Steers & Stripes, and 2003's Red Dirt Road, omitting songs from 1999's Tight Rope. It also features one song from 1994's Waitin' on Sundown and one song from 1996's Borderline, both of which did not make it to the first compilation. Three new recorded tracks — "That's What It's All About", "It's Getting Better All The Time", and "Independent Trucker" — are also included on this compilation. These first two songs were released as singles, peaking at #2 and #1, respectively, on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The CD version is currently out of print; however, it is available from digital and streaming services.

"Please" would go on to be Pam's last appearance on the Country Singles Chart after it peaked in spring of 2001.

Benjy Davis Project was formed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 2001 as a simple folk-rock duo, but quickly grew into a popular regional band. Eventually expanding into a six-piece group, the Benjy Davis Project has recorded four albums and two EPs. They have played across the country as headliners and support act on shows with John Mayer, Better Than Ezra, Sister Hazel, North Mississippi All-Stars and others, as well as events like the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. In 2009 and 2010, the band performed at Hotel Carolina, an annual two-day singer-songwriter festival held in South Carolina.
