Sport in Jersey

2011 Island Games

The XIV Island Games was a major international multi-sport event held from 25 June to 1 July 2011, in the Isle of Wight, England. A total of 2,306 athletes from 24 islands competed in 15 sports and 190 events. The 2011 Island Games was the second Island Games to be hosted by the Isle of Wight. Previously, the Isle of Wight hosted the 1993 Island Games.

FB Playing Fields

FB Playing Fields or Florence Boot Fields is a multi-purpose stadium in the parish of St. Clement, Jersey. The grounds are named after benefactor Florence Boot who was the Jersey-born wife of Jesse Boot, 1st Baron Trent.

2015 Island Games

The XVI Island Games was held in Jersey, Channel Islands, from 27 June to 3 July 2015. This was the second time that the island has hosted the games, the first being in 1997.

The XVII Island Games was held in Gotland, Sweden, from 24 June to 30 June 2017. This was the second time that the island has hosted the games, the first being in 1999.

The 2017 Pacific Mini Games were held in Port Vila, Vanuatu, in December 2017. It was the tenth edition of the Pacific Mini Games, and the second to be hosted in Vanuatu.

Jersey Table Tennis Association

The Jersey Table Tennis Association was established in 1923 and is the governing body responsible for table tennis in Jersey. The organisation has been affiliated to the ITTF since 1935.

Yue "Jennifer" Wu is a Chinese American table tennis player originally from China who has been named to the U.S. team at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She was a gold medalist in women's team and women's singles at the 2015 Pan American Games, which qualified her for the 2016 Olympic Games.

2019 Island Games

The XVIII Island Games was held in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar between 6 and 12 July 2019. This was the second time that the territory has hosted the games, the first being in 1995.

The XIX Island Games were to have been held in Guernsey, Channel Islands in 2021 however due to the Coronavirus pandemic the games have been postponed. This occasion will be the third time that the island has hosted the games, the first being in 1987, the second in 2003.

Tennis at the 2015 Island Games was held at the Caesarean Tennis Club, Jersey from 28 June to 3 July.
