The women's 57 kilograms event at the 2022 Asian Games took place on 26 September 2023 at Lin'an Sports and Culture Centre, Hangzhou, China. [1] [2]

Contents

A total of fifteen athletes participated in this weight category. The first seed Luo Zongshi from the host nation China successfully defended her title from 2018 by defeating Lo Chia-ling of Chinese Taipei in two rounds. Luo won the first round 6–2 and finished the second round 9–0 to win the gold medal. Kim Yu-jin from South Korea and Phannapa Harnsujin from Thailand finished third and won the bronze.

Liu Tingting is a Chinese artistic gymnast and the current team captain of the Chinese women's national artistic gymnastics team. She is best known for her innovative, quick connections and high degree of difficulty on balance beam and uneven bars. She is the 2018 World champion, the 2019 World silver medalist, and the 2017 Asian champion on balance beam, and the 2018 Asian Games and 2019 Chinese national champion on the uneven bars. Fan Zhengyi is a Chinese professional snooker player. He won the IBSF World Under-21 Snooker Championship in 2017, and turned professional in 2018. He had a breakthrough season in 2021–22 when he reached his first ranking quarter-final at the 2022 German Masters and then won his first ranking title at the 2022 European Masters, defeating then six-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan 10–9 in the final. Zhang Jin is a Chinese artistic gymnast. She is a 2018 World bronze medalist and 2018 Asian Games champion in the team event. She is also the 2018 Asian Games bronze medalist on the balance beam and the 2018 Stuttgart World Cup all-around champion. She represented China at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Wei Xiaoyuan is a Chinese artistic gymnast. She is best known for her work on the uneven bars, where she is a two-time world champion, the 2022 Asian champion, and a two-time Chinese national silver medalist. In the all-around, she is the 2021 Chinese National Games champion and the 2020 Chinese national silver medalist. On the junior level, she is a three-time Junior World Championships medalist and the 2019 National Youth Games all-around champion.

Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Djarum club. She was part of the national junior team that won the first Suhandinata Cup for Indonesia in 2019 BWF World Junior Championships. She also featured in the Indonesian women's winning team at the 2022 Asia Team Championships.
