Takoradi Technical Institute is a mixed-sex school found in Takoradi.The school was established in 1982 with the collaboration of the Ghanaian Government and German Government Support for Technical Cooperation. [1] The school is popular for its facilities which are used to train and enhance the technical skills of the students.

Ghana Senior High Technical School (Takoradi) Secondary Technical School in Sekondi-Takoradi, Western Region, Ghana

The Ghana Secondary Technical School is a science and technology-oriented high school located in Takoradi on the west coast of Ghana. It is the third oldest high school in Ghana - the oldest 'non-missionary' high school. The School was founded on the 9th of August 1909 in Accra as Accra Technical School and later changed to Government Technical School. It moved to its current site in Takoradi in 1939. In 1953, the name was changed to Government Secondary Technical School, and in 1970, it was given its current name. Former students of the school are known as Giants, and students in the school are called Tescans.

Takoradi Technical University is a public tertiary education institution (university) located in Sekondi-Takoradi, the capital of the Western Region of Ghana. Takoradi Technical University was established as a Government Technical Institute in 1954, and became part of the State Tertiary Education System. Later after the passage of the Polytechnic Law of 1992. It was replaced by Polytechnics Law in 2007. In 2016, the Bill to convert six out of the 10 polytechnics into a fully fledged university received a unanimous approval of Ghanaian legislators.
