Talatu Yohanna (born November 11,1973) is an administrator and politician. She was a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives where she represented Demsa/Numan/Lamurde Federal Constituency in Adamawa State. [1] [2]
Yohanna started working as an administrator in public business,and later moved into politics where she has served as a women's leader,supervisory councilor,special assistant and special adviser to the Governor of Adamawa State. She has also served as a Commissioner for Trade and Cooperative in Adamawa State. She was a member of the House of Representatives where she represents Demsa/Numan/Lamurde Federal Constituency,Adamawa State under the All Progressives Congress. [3] [4] She was preceded by Kwamoti Laori a PDP candidate as the member representing Demsa/Numan/Lamurde Federal Constituency,Adamawa State. [5] She also serves in the House Committee on Women Parliament.
Yohanna is married and with children. She is an indigene of Ngodogoron community in Lamurde Local Government Area of Adamawa State. [6]
Adamawa state is a state in the North-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria,bordered by Borno to the northwest,Gombe to the west,and Taraba to the southwest,while its eastern border forms part of the national border with Cameroon. It takes its name from the historic emirate of Adamawa,with the emirate's old capital of Yola,serving as the capital city of Adamawa state. The state is one of the most heterogeneous in Nigeria,with over 100 indigenous ethnic groups. It was formed in 1991,when the former Gongola state was divided into Adamawa and Taraba states. Since it was carved out of the old Gongola State in 1991 by the General Ibrahim Badamsi Babangida military regime,Adamawa State has had 10 men,both military and civilian,controlling the levers of power,who played crucial roles in transforming the state into what it is today.

The 2023 Adamawa State gubernatorial election took place on 18 March 2023,to elect the Governor of Adamawa State,concurrent with elections to the Adamawa State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—was held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent PDP Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has been renominated by his party.

The Bwatiye people which are mostly refer to as Bachama are a set of people that can be found in Numan,Demsa and Lamurde Local Governments in the Southern part of Adamawa State and in some part of the Cameroons Republic.
The 2023 Nigerian presidential election in Adamawa State will be held on 25 February 2023 as part of the nationwide 2023 Nigerian presidential election to elect the president and vice president of Nigeria.
