A television producer is a person who oversees all aspects of video production on a television program. Some producers take more of an executive role, in that they conceive new programs and pitch them to the television networks, but upon acceptance they focus on business matters, such as budgets and contracts. Other producers are more involved with the day-to-day workings, participating in activities such as screenwriting, set design, casting and directing.

Billy Talent is a Canadian rock band from Mississauga, Ontario. They formed in 1993 with Benjamin Kowalewicz as the lead vocalist, Ian D'Sa on guitar, bassist Jon Gallant and drummer Aaron Solowoniuk. The responsibility of the talent manager is to oversee the day-to-day business affairs of an artist; advise and counsel talent concerning professional matters, long-term plans and personal decisions which may affect their career.

Fight for Fame is a one-hour reality show produced by E! Entertainment Television, and producers Jay James, Tim Puntillo, Alan Blassberg, and Brian Lando, directed by Hans van Riet. A long established talent agency - Acme Talent & Literary - provides two top agents, Adam Lieblein (President) and Greg Meyer to add focus to the show, without being seen as "hosts." Each hour shows five actors vying for the opportunity to sign with Adam and Greg at the agency. They are put through four sets of audition challenges, including monologues, improvisation, and scripted auditions in front of well-known Hollywood directors, casting executives and executive producers. At the end of each episode, one actor signs with Acme Talent & Literary. The audience gets to see the decision process of the agents, as well as the attitude of talented and not-so-talented actors.

America's Got Talent is a televised American talent show competition, and is part of the global Got Talent franchise created by Simon Cowell. The program is produced by Fremantle USA and Syco Entertainment, distributed by the former, and broadcast on the NBC television network, premiering on June 21, 2006, after plans for a British edition in 2005 were suspended following a dispute within the British broadcaster ITV; production would later resume in 2007. Each season is mainly run during the network's summer schedule, and has featured various hosts over the course of the program's history - its current host is Terry Crews.

Series One of Britain's Got Talent, a British talent competition series, began broadcasting in the UK during 2007, from 9 June to 17 June on ITV. The success of America's Got Talent helped to revive production of a British version of the show, after initial development for the programme was suspended when its originally planned host, Paul O'Grady, became involved in an argument with ITV and later defected to another channel. The judges chosen for the series were Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell; both Morgan and Cowell had been original choices during the original plans for the programme before O'Grady's departure. The hosts selected for the first series were Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, while a spin-off show on ITV2, entitled Britain's Got More Talent would be hosted by Stephen Mulhern.

Although the producers initially intended to expand the judging panel by adding in Kelly Brook as a fourth judge, they later dropped the change to the format after using it for six days within the auditions stage of the competition; Brooks was labelled as a "guest judge" when the series was broadcast, as a direct result. Apart from this, no other changes were made.

Change is Now: Renewing America's Promise is a compilation album released on April 28, 2009 through Hidden Beach Recordings in conjunction with the Presidential Inaugural Committee. The album includes previously released tracks from Wilco, Stevie Wonder, Death Cab for Cutie, and Common. An accompanying DVD features eight speeches by Barack Obama, starting with the campaign announcement in Springfield, Illinois and ending with the election night victory speech in Chicago. The album sold retail online and at inaugural events in Washington.
Series Five of Britain's Got Talent, a British talent competition series, began broadcasting in the UK during 2011, from 16 April to 4 June on ITV; due to live coverage of the 2011 UEFA Champions League Final on 28 May, the final audition episode of the series was pushed back a day to avoid clashing with it. In the wake of Piers Morgan's departure the previous year, and Simon Cowell's schedule leaving him unable to attend auditions for this series, the producers staff recruited two new judges - David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre - to join with Amanda Holden, with Louis Walsh returning as a guest judge when Hasselhoff's schedule made him unavailable to attend some of this series' auditions. The subsequent change to the judging panel, along with Cowell's attendance during the live episodes, led to an amendment to the judges' vote that allowed the public vote to decide the winner in the event of a tie deciding the second semi-finalist to move on to the live final. Apart from the change in the judging panel, the studio for the live episodes was given a £1 million revamp before filming began.
PopLyfe, alternately styled as POPLYFE, is a teen pop band from Oakland, California, that was a contestant on season 6 of America's Got Talent. They finished in fourth place on the show after performing a medley by Queen in the finals.

He won reality show Britain's Got Talent in 2017 playing Debussy's "Clair de lune", which turned into Ed Sheeran's song "Bloodstream"; Rihanna's "Diamonds" in semi-final 3; and in the final, Hans Zimmer's Interstellar theme soundtrack and Rag'n'Bone Man's hit "Human". After winning Britain's Got Talent in 2017, Myers released many of his independent releases and became a major internet sensation. In October 2017, he announced his debut single, "Bloodstream", along with his debut album Our Generation. The single is a studio rendition of his audition performance on Britain's Got Talent.
