Talk Talk was an English pop and post-rock band formed in 1981, led by Mark Hollis, Lee Harris (drums), and Paul Webb (bass). The group achieved early chart success with the synth-pop singles "Talk Talk" (1982), "It's My Life", and "Such a Shame" before moving towards more experimental music in the mid-1980s, pioneering what became known as post-rock. Talk Talk achieved widespread critical success in Europe and the UK with the singles "Life's What You Make It" (1985), and "Living in Another World" (1986), and in 1988 they released their fourth album Spirit of Eden, which was critically acclaimed yet commercially less successful.
Citizen Fish is an English punk rock band that has been active since 1990 and shares members with Subhumans. Citizen Fish does not emphasize the raw political statements and nihilistic viewpoint of the former, instead focusing on issues of social alienation and human interaction, viewed through a more optimistic lens. Both bands deal with themes such as anti-consumerism and vegetarianism.
Next Position Please is the seventh studio album by American rock band Cheap Trick, produced by Todd Rundgren and released in 1983. The title track was originally demoed for the band's 1979 album Dream Police, which had lead singer Robin Zander, lead guitarist Rick Nielsen, and bassist Tom Petersson each singing a verse. The song did not go beyond a demo, but it was referenced in "High Priest of Rhythmic Noise", a track from 1980's All Shook Up. "Position" was eventually re-recorded for this album, and features only Zander singing.

The Vaudeville Years of Fleetwood Mac 1968 to 1970 is an album by British blues rock band Fleetwood Mac, released in 1998. It was a compilation of outtakes and unreleased tracks from the band's early line up, none of which had previously seen the light of day officially. Available on double vinyl LP and double CD, it came with a booklet of extensive notes and anecdotes, and was the companion volume to Show-Biz Blues: Fleetwood Mac 1968–70, which was released a few years later.
Woke up with a Monster is the twelfth studio album by Cheap Trick released on Warner Bros. Records in 1994 and produced by Ted Templeman. It was their first and only album for Warners and peaked at US number 123 on the Billboard chart. Shortly after the album's release Cheap Trick was dropped from the label. The album contains songs co-written with Jim Peterik, Julian Raymond, Todd Cerney, Mark Spiro and Terry Reid. There were two videos shot for this LP; "Woke up with a Monster" and "You're All I Wanna Do." The band later released a CD only 'cutout' that also featured a live performance of the title track.
Cheap Trick, commonly referred to as Cheap Trick '97, is the second eponymous album, and thirteenth studio album, by the American rock band Cheap Trick, produced by the band and Ian Taylor and released on Red Ant Records and Alliance Entertainment. The album is referred to as "Cheap Trick II" when it is referenced on the promotional DVD that was released with the band's Special One album in 2003. Ian Taylor had previously engineered the One On One LP in 1982 and produced a handful of other tracks from 1983's Next Position Please LP, as well as the title track for the 1983 Sean S. Cunningham comedy film Spring Break.

It was performed at Davis Park in the band's hometown of Rockford, Illinois on August 28, 1999, to celebrate the band's 25th anniversary since their formation. The album was recorded and released as a two-disc set in 2001, and re-released in 2004 with two additional tracks.

Introducing ... Talk Talk is a compilation album by Talk Talk released in 2003. Introducing ... Talk Talk is slightly different from the other "best of" albums by the band in that it doesn't include any of the band's hits. The first five tracks come from the 1982–1984 period, including a piano version of "Call in the Night Boy", B-side to a non-album A-side in 1983. Whilst the remaining seven tracks cover 1986–1988, the EMI era of the band's more experimental phase, most songs in this part of the album are drawn from The Colour of Spring and Spirit of Eden. Nothing post-1988 is featured, as EMI, who released the album, couldn't collect material from Laughing Stock or Missing Pieces, both recorded over 1990–1991, or the live album London 1986, released by Pond Life in 1999.
