Tamaryn Payne (born 25 September 1988) is an English actress best known for playing Annalise Appleton in the series Hollyoaks .
Payne was raised in Bournemouth, attending the grammar school Bournemouth School for Girls. She then studied for a BTEC at Bournemouth and Poole College before studying for a BA degree in acting at the Arts Educational Schools, London, graduating in 2010. [1]
In 2010, Payne appeared in the short film I Luv Matt Johnson playing Zoe.
In 2011, she played Emmie in the short film Atmospheric and, on 28 September, she joined the main cast of the British soap Hollyoaks as Annalise Appleton until February 2013 when her character decided to move to London after taking a job there.
In 2012, she appeared in the thriller Stalled where she played a character who gave birth to Evie.
In 2017, she played Widow Ordlaf in series 4, episode 20, of Vikings who was consoled for the loss of her husband by Bishop Heahmund. [2]

Hollyoaks is a British soap opera which originally began airing on Channel 4 on 23 October 1995. It was created by Phil Redmond, who had previously conceived the soap opera Brookside. From 2005 to 2023, episodes have aired on sister channel E4 a day prior to their broadcast on Channel 4. In 2023, Hollyoaks was removed from Channel 4's early evening schedule, but remains on E4 and Channel 4's on demand service with episodes now uploaded to YouTube. At its inception, the soap was targeted towards an adolescent and young adult audience but it has since broadened its appeal to all age groups. Hollyoaks has covered various taboo subjects rarely seen on British television, for which it has received numerous awards. It has won the award for Best British Soap twice, in 2014 and 2019; its first win broke the 15-year tie between rival soap operas EastEnders and Coronation Street. Beginning with a cast of 15 characters, it now has 37 regular cast members. The longest-serving actor is Nick Pickard, who has portrayed Tony Hutchinson since the first episode.
Gemma Louise Atkinson is an English influencer, radio presenter, and former actress and glamour model. She played Lisa Hunter in Hollyoaks and in three spin-off series, Hollyoaks: After Hours (2004), Hollyoaks: Let Loose (2005) and Hollyoaks: In the City (2006), Tamzin Bayle in Casualty and Carly Hope in Emmerdale (2015–2017). She currently presents the drive time slot across the Hits Radio Network. In November 2021, it was announced that Atkinson is set to reprise her role as Lisa Hunter in Hollyoaks.

Annalise Hartman is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Neighbours, played by Kimberley Davies. She made her debut during the episode broadcast on 15 January 1993 and departed on 31 January 1996. Davies reprised the role in July 2005. Hassan's most recent role features her playing the leading lady, Alison, in the 2023 British independent film Wait For Me.

Ash Kane is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Holly Weston. Ash debuted on-screen on 26 September 2011. Weston attended a late audition for the role and was later told she had secured the part. Weston was signed to the serial on an initial six-month contract which was later extended by impressed producers.

Annalise Appleton is a fictional character from the British soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Tamaryn Payne. She made her first appearance on 28 September 2011, alongside her boyfriend Rob Edwards. Annalise was Payne's first big television role and she initially signed a six month contract. She had to complete four auditions for the role and moved to Liverpool for the role. Annalise and Rob were introduced with three other regular characters as university freshers that would begin studying at Hollyoaks Community College. The characters were promoted through university media and the soap opera. Hollyoaks wanted to show a realistic university experience through the characters, which included having them struggle to adapt to their lifestyle change. Annalise was characterised as being as being a perfectionist and controlling. Payne believed that Annalise was insecure but a good person despite coming across as annoying. Annalise disapproves of Rob's partying lifestyle and there is conflict between them, which Atkins believed reflected the real life experiences of new university students already in relationships. Annalise later breaks up with Rob and begins a romance and later relationship with Scott Sabeka. Annalise's other storylines have included her passion for event planning and her university life. Payne later left Hollyoaks alongside Atkins and their last appearance aired on 18 February 2013. Their exit storyline saw Rob and Annalise reunite and move to London together. Payne revealed that she decided to not renew her contract as whilst she enjoyed the character and being on Hollyoaks, she wanted to explore other acting projects. Critics also called Annalise a perfectionist.
