Tanasha Donna Oketch (born 7 July 1995) [1] is a Kenyan model, singer, entrepreneur & former radio presenter for NRG radio. [2]

Personal life

Tanasha Donna [3] was born in Kenya, East Africa [4] on 7 July 1995 to a Kenyan mother and an Italian Father. Donna spent her childhood years in Kenya before moving to Belgium when she was 11 years old to live with her Belgian step-father. [5] She gained great interest in fashion, music and modelling while in Belgium.

Donna made a return to Kenya and participated in Miss World Kenya. [6] While in Kenya, she joined the NRG Radio as a presenter but quit [7] to focus on her music career and motherhood. [8] [9]

In 2022, Donna has made her acting debut, [10] in the 'Symphony' movie that was released on 9 September. [11]

Relationships

Donna's public relationship was when she dated a Kenyan actor Nick Mutuma [12] at a time when she was still a commercial model. Mutuma and Donna broke up [13] [14] in August 2017, after seven months of dating. [15]

In 2018, she dated a Tanzanian singer and businessman Diamond Platnumz. Donna and Diamond Platnumz, established a strong relationship. [16] In 2019, they had a son [17] [18] named Naseeb Junior. [19] [20] Their relationship gave birth to Donna's music career after they collaborated in a hit song 'Gere'.

In 2020, Donna and Diamond Platnumz broke up, [21] [22] accusing [23] one another as the reason [24] for the breakup without making a clear reason [25] for their break-up. [26]

Since her break up with Diamond Platnumz in 2020, Donna has since not revealed her relationship status to the public. [27] [28]

Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) is a Tanzania-based record label founded by musician Diamond Platnumz. WCB's commercial roster includes Diamond Platnumz, Mbosso, Zuchu, Lava Lava, Queen Darleen, and D Voice. The label is headquartered at Mbezi Beach, Dar Es Salaam. Rj the Dj who is also Diamond Platnumz's official DJ, while the official producer of the label is Lizer Classic. In 2017, the WCB Wasafi artists released a joint project titled Zilipendwa, and in 2020, they released their second single titled Quarantine. In 2021, WCB Wasafi signed a publishing and distribution deal with Ziiki and Warner Music Group.
