Tanga Secondary Education Society

Tanga Secondary Education Society is an organization based in Tanga, Tanzania. It was formed in 1966 with a mandate to oversee the project of constructing a private secondary school and run the management of this school.

Old Tanga Secondary School is a school in Tanga, Tanzania. It was built by the German colonial authorities in the 1890s as the first formal government school in Tanganyika - the mainland part of present-day Tanzania.

The Tanga Heritage Centre, popularly known as Urithi is a not-for-profit Non-governmental organization based in Tanga, Tanzania. It was founded in 1999 with the mission to preserve and promote the city's heritage. Its area of work also covers the surrounding Tanga Region.

Mkinga is one of the eleven districts of Tanga Region in Tanzania. It was created from Muheza District in 2007. The District covers an area of 1,442 km2 (557 sq mi). The administrative capital of the district is located in a small town called Parungu Kasera. The district is bordered by Tanga District to the south east and Muheza District to the south west. On the east the district is bordered by the Indian Ocean. On the west Korogwe Korogwe District and Lushoto District. On the north the district borders Kenya. Handeni is a town located in the Handeni Urban District, Tanga Region, Tanzania. It is the capital of both Handeni Town Council and Handeni District. The 2012 national census estimated the population of Handeni Town Council at 79,056.

The wards is also the seat of the district capital, with the district council building located in the north of the ward. Pangani mashariki is one of 13 wards in Pangani District as of 2012. The ward covers an area of 13 km2 (5.0 sq mi), and has an average elevation of 37 m (121 ft).
