Tanner Cohen is an American stage, film and television actor, and singer.

Career

In 2006, Cohen appeared as Tad Becker in five episodes of the American soap opera As the World Turns . [1] [2] He appeared in the 2007 thriller The Life Before Her Eyes . [2] [3] In 2008, he made his leading film debut as Timothy in Were the World Mine , an independent musical film based on A Midsummer Night's Dream . He also contributed to the soundtrack. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] He had taken voice lessons for a year. [6]

In 2010, Cohen appeared opposite Andy Ridings in Over and Over, a play produced as part of the New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC). The play ran from August 18 to August 28 at the Studio @ Cherry Lane, then again from September 9 through 25 as part of The FringeNYC Encore Series. [7] [8] [9]

In 2013, Cohen appeared in Getting Go: The Go Doc Project in the role of a shy college grad (Doc) who devises to shoot a documentary about the New York City nightlife scene to meet the go-go dancer he is obsessed with.

Personal life

Cohen is Jewish. [10] He graduated from UCLA in 2009, and is openly gay. [11] His brother, David Oliver Cohen, is a television actor. [1] [12]

In 2010, he recorded and posted a video in connection with the It Gets Better Project and The Trevor Project. [13]

Ste Hay is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Kieron Richardson. He debuted on-screen during the episode airing on 10 February 2006. Ste was created by David Hanson and was originally intended to be a short-term character for seven episodes. The following series producer Bryan Kirkwood decided to bring the character back on a permanent basis. As of 2010, Richardson has revealed that he is committed to staying in the serial. Niall Rafferty is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Barry Sloane. He first appeared during an episode broadcast on 3 December 2007. Former Brookside actor Sloane was cast as the "mysterious" hairdresser Niall and was introduced by the series' producer Bryan Kirkwood. During Sloane's portrayal of Niall on-screen, he was central to a storyline involving the already-established McQueen family and it was revealed Niall was the illegitimate son of Myra McQueen. The storyline featured Niall seek revenge on the McQueens, which concluded in highly advertised episodes featuring Niall kidnapping his siblings and causing the death of his half-sister Tina Reilly. Were the World Mine is a 2008 romantic musical fantasy film directed by Tom Gustafson, written by Gustafson and Cory James Krueckeberg, and starring Tanner Cohen, Wendy Robie, Judy McLane, Zelda Williams, Jill Larson, Ricky Goldman, Nathaniel David Becker, Christian Stolte, and David Darlow.

The twelfth series of the British medical drama television series Holby City commenced airing in the United Kingdom on BBC One on 20 October 2009. The series deals with the repercussions of the death of ward sister Faye Byrne's son Archie, including the resignation of consultant Connie Beauchamp and the return of former registrar Thandie Abebe-Griffin. It also focuses on staff members' romantic and family lives. F1 Oliver Valentine becomes romantically involved with registrar Jac Naylor and ward sister Daisha Anderson, and his sister Penny embarks on a secret romance with a heart transplant patient. Consultant Linden Cullen is reunited with his estranged daughter Holly, nurse Donna Jackson decides to adopt her half-niece Mia, sister Chrissie Williams gives birth to a son, Daniel, and Faye becomes pregnant by her estranged husband Joseph. The series includes a crossover episode with sister show Casualty and it also has the highest number of episodes to date, as the series contains a small number of episodes which air during the same week.

"Over There" is the two-part second season finale of the Fox science fiction drama series Fringe. They are the 21st and 22nd episodes of the season, and the 42nd and 43rd episodes of the series overall. Stuart McElroy is a fictional character from the BBC medical drama Holby City, played by actor Conor Mullen. He first appeared in the series ten episode "The Apprentice", broadcast on 6 November 2007. Producers approached Mullen with the offer to play Stuart. The character arrives at Holby City hospital as a locum cardiothoracic consultant to look after the Darwin ward in the absence of Connie Beauchamp. He soon begins a feud with registrar Sam Strachan and a romance with ward sister Chrissie Williams. Stuart is characterised as a charming surgeon but one who has a possessive side. He is an alcoholic whose wife Amelia left him prior to his arrival. His jealousy becomes an issue when he tries to control Chrissie and she ends their relationship. He begins drinking more heavily resulting in him holding Chrissie hostage and slashing her across the face with a scalpel. Stuart made his final appearance in series ten, episode 18, "The Extra Mile".
