Tanuja Singh

Tanuja Singh is an Indian academic administrator serving as the tenth president of the University of Indianapolis since 2023. She was previously the provost at Loyola University New Orleans.

Life

Singh earned a M.Sc. in physics from the University of Allahabad. [1] She completed a M.B.A. from Millsaps College. [1] She received a D.B.A. at the Southern Illinois University. [1]

For thirteen years, Singh worked at the Northern Illinois University where she was a department chair and professor of marketing. [2] [3] She later worked as the dean of the Greehey School of Business at St. Mary's University, Texas for eleven years. [2] [4] At Loyola University New Orleans, Singh was the provost and senior vice president of academic affairs. [1] [5] On July 1, 2023, Singh became the tenth president of the University of Indianapolis, succeeding interim president Phil Terry. [1] [6] She is the first woman of color to hold the position. The Joseph A. Sellinger, S.J. School of Business and Management is the business school of Loyola University Maryland and is located on the college's main campus in Baltimore, Maryland. Formally established in 1980, the business school was named in honor of Loyola's late president Reverend Joseph A. Sellinger, S.J., although the university has been offering courses in business for over 70 years. The Sellinger School consists of seven academic departments: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Systems/ Operations Management, Management/International Business, Marketing, and Law & Social Responsibility. The Sellinger School of Business and Management is one of Loyola's three schools, the other two being the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Education.

Mary Milligan was an American theologian, a university administrator, and a member of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM) who served as the tenth general superior of the Institute of the RSHM (1980–1985).
