Ranjeeta "Robby" Kaur is an Indian actress. She was trained at FTII. She has appeared in around 47 films. She has portrayed a variety of characters and her films include: Laila Majnu (1976), Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se (1978) and Pati Patni Aur Woh (1978). She was nominated for the Filmfare Awards three times, including two of the above films.
Surakksha is a 1979 Hindi- language film directed by Ravikant Nagaich. The film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Ranjeeta, Jeevan, Jagdeep, Iftekhar, and Aruna Irani. Based on a spy thriller, it was the first of two such films with Mithun in the lead, the other being Wardat. It was a "Super-duper Hit" film at the box office and the ninth highest grossing movie of 1979. The film was only a big success in the year 1979, where big stars films failed, or were just a moderate success but Surakksha was a huge hit in 1979, and Mithun Chakraborty becomes a rising star.
