Stockholm is the capital of Sweden. It has the most populous urban area in Sweden as well as in Scandinavia. Approximately 975,000 people live in the municipality, with 1.6 million in the urban area, and 2.4 million in the metropolitan area. The city stretches across fourteen islands where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea. Outside the city to the east, and along the coast, is the island chain of the Stockholm archipelago. The area has been settled since the Stone Age, in the 6th millennium BC, and was founded as a city in 1252 by Swedish statesman Birger Jarl. It is also the county seat of Stockholm County.

Bollhuset, also called Stora Bollhuset, Bollhusteatern, and Gamla Bollhuset at various times, was the name of the first theater in Stockholm, Sweden; it was the first Swedish theater and the first real theater building in the whole of Scandinavia. It was built in 1627 for ball sports and used in this way for forty years. The name Lejonkulan, however, was, in fact, the name of a different building, which was also used by the same theater in the 17th century.
Marie Louise Marcadet née Baptiste was a Swedish opera singer and a dramatic stage actress of French origin. She was active in the Royal Swedish Opera as a singer, and in the Royal Dramatic Theatre and the French Theater of Gustav III as an actress. She was a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music from 1795.
Antoinette Thérèse Elfforss was a Swedish stage actress and theatre director. She was the managing director of the travelling Elfforss Theater Company between 1869 and 1888.

Röhl is educated at Teaterhögskolan in Malmö and she has become a known name also as a director. She also is a teacher at Stockholms dramatiska högskola, and from March 2014 she is the boss at Folkteatern in Gothenburg.
RATS Theatre – Research in Arts and Technology in Society is established in 2008 by Rebecca Örtman. It is known for creating artistic digital productions on the web, mobile and public spaces as a tool of inspiration and a platform for dialogue between research and public. RATS Theatre is today part of Stockholm University. Its productions were met successfully in Sweden and internationally.
