Skeppsholmen is one of the islands of Stockholm. It is connected with Blasieholmen and Kastellholmen by bridges. It is accessible by foot from Kungsträdgården, past the Grand Hôtel and Nationalmuseum, by bus number 65, or by boat from Slussen, Djurgården or Nybroplan.

The Royal Swedish Ballet is one of the oldest ballet companies in Europe. All of these were initially located in the old theatre of Bollhuset. The troupe was founded with the opening of the Royal Swedish Opera, which has served as its home since that time.

Although the archives functions primarily as the government archive, it also preserves some documents from private individuals and non-public organizations. The mission of the archives is to collect and preserve records for future generations.

Bollhuset, also called Stora Bollhuset, Bollhusteatern, and Gamla Bollhuset at various times, was the name of the first theater in Stockholm, Sweden; it was the first Swedish theater and the first real theater building in the whole of Scandinavia. It was built in 1627 for ball sports and used in this way for forty years. The name Lejonkulan, however, was, in fact, the name of a different building, which was also used by the same theater in the 17th century.
Marie Louise Marcadet née Baptiste was a Swedish opera singer and a dramatic stage actress of French origin. She was active in the Royal Swedish Opera as a singer, and in the Royal Dramatic Theatre and the French Theater of Gustav III as an actress. She was a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music from 1795.

The Swedish Institute of Dramatic Art, also called the University College of Film, Radio, Television and Theatre was a Swedish university college in Stockholm that provided education programs about activities surrounding film, radio, television, and theater. Röhl is educated at Teaterhögskolan in Malmö and she has become a known name also as a director. She also is a teacher at Stockholms dramatiska högskola, and from March 2014 she is the boss at Folkteatern in Gothenburg.
RATS Theatre – Research in Arts and Technology in Society is established in 2008 by Rebecca Örtman. It is known for creating artistic digital productions on the web, mobile and public spaces as a tool of inspiration and a platform for dialogue between research and public. RATS Theatre is today part of Stockholm University. Its productions were met successfully in Sweden and internationally.
