Technology Industries of Finland

Technology Industries of Finland (Finnish : Teknologiateollisuus ry., Swedish : Teknologiindustrin) is the trade association for Finnish technology industry sector. It is a member organisation to the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK. [1]

According to TIF its member companies covered over 50% of the value of Finnish total export in 2023. The companies employed 338,000 persons. [2]

Established in 1988, NASSCOM is a Nonprofit organization. NASSCOM is the apex body for the US$ 245 billion Indian technology industry.

The Confederation of Finnish Industries is the largest employers' association in Finland. It was formed at the beginning of 2005 when the two employers' associations Palvelutyönantajat and Teollisuuden ja Työnantajain Keskusliitto merged. EK's member companies collectively contribute over 70% of Finland's GDP, and over 95% of Finland's exports. It has considerable negotiating power, since Finland has universal validity of collective labour agreements, and often a national income policy agreement is reached.

Renewable energy in Finland grew to 38.7% of total final energy consumption by year end 2014, achieving joint second position with Latvia in terms of renewable energy consumption by share amongst the EU-28 countries, behind its neighbour Sweden in first position on a 52.6% share. The 2014 share in Finland breaks down as renewable energy providing 52% of the heating and cooling sector, 31.4% of the electricity sector and 21.6% of the transport sector. By 2014, Finland had already exceeded its 2020 target for renewable energy use under the EU renewable energy directive as shown in the table of country targets.

Lauri Jaakko Kivekäs, titled Vuorineuvos, was a Finnish businessman. He served as Minister of Trade and Industry from 1957 to 1958. He was the former Chairman of Confederation of Finnish Industries and the first Chairman of Nokia Corporation after the 1967 merger of the three Finnish companies Nokia Company, Finnish Rubber Works and Finnish Cable Works. He remained Nokia Chairman until 1977 when he was replaced by Björn Westerlund.

Cleantech Finland is a Finnish national project, backed by the Government of Finland and created as part of Finland's National Action plan to develop the country's environmental business. The network aims to bring together expertise from Finland's clean technology industry and research and to support clean technology companies internationally. Cleantech Finland is owned by the Confederation of Finnish Industries.

The National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) is a United Kingdom construction trade association representing companies involved in scaffolding and access work.

The Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists or LPK is a major association of industry associations and companies in Lithuania which represents the interests of large industrialists and employers. The Confederation in an umbrella organization uniting 52 trade and 5 regional associations and 24 non-associated members which comprise over 2700 medium and large enterprises from various public and private sectors. Confederation membership is entirely voluntary. LPK members cover all the main sectors of industry, generating 83% of Lithuanian exports and 46% of total Lithuanian GDP.
