The Pacific Coast League (PCL) is a Minor League Baseball league that operates in the Western United States. Along with the International League,it is one of two leagues playing at the Triple-A level,which is one grade below Major League Baseball (MLB).
The San Francisco Seals were a minor league baseball team in San Francisco,California,that played in the Pacific Coast League from 1903 until 1957 before transferring to Phoenix,Arizona. The organization was named for the abundant California sea lion and harbor seal populations in the Bay Area. The 1909,1922,1925,and 1928 Seals were recognized as being among the 100 greatest minor league teams of all time.

Smead Powell Jolley was an American outfielder in professional baseball. He played from 1922 to 1941,including four seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1930 to 1933. Jolley was considered a good hitter. His poor fielding kept him from having a longer major league career,but he spent eight seasons in the Pacific Coast League (PCL),the top minor league of that era. In 1928,he won the PCL Triple Crown. He was inducted into the Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame in 2003.
Michael Dominick Rocco was an American professional baseball player. A first baseman,Rocco played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for four seasons in the American League with the Cleveland Indians. In 440 career games,Rocco recorded a batting average of .258 and accumulated 30 home runs and 186 runs batted in (RBI).
Robert Joseph Hoover was an American professional baseball player from 1937 to 1946. He played three years in Major League Baseball as a shortstop for the Detroit Tigers from 1943 to 1945. He also played six years in the Pacific Coast League (PCL) for the Hollywood Stars from 1938 to 1942 and the San Francisco Seals in 1946. He won a World Series championship with the Tigers in 1945 and a PCL pennant with the Seals in 1946. He was also selected as a PCL all-star and the Hollywood Stars' most valuable player in 1942 when he hit for a .327 batting average.
Dario Antonio Lodigiani [Lodi] was an infielder in Major League Baseball who played for two different teams between 1938 and 1946. Listed at 5'8",150 lb.,he batted and threw right-handed. He was born in San Francisco,California. Lodigiani enjoyed a 17-year baseball career (1935–1954),playing parts of six seasons in the majors and 14 in the minor leagues,losing three years while serving in the military (1943–45).
Walter Franklin Judnich was an American professional baseball player. A center fielder,Judnich played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for seven seasons with the St. Louis Browns,Cleveland Indians,and Pittsburgh Pirates. In 790 career games,Judnich recorded a batting average of .281 and accumulated 90 home runs and 420 runs batted in (RBI).

Richard Brooks Holder was an American professional baseball player whose career spanned 17 seasons,all of which were spent in the minor leagues. Holder joined the Pacific Coast League (PCL) in 1935 after a short stint that season in the Western League. Over his tenure in the PCL,he played for the San Francisco Seals,the Hollywood Stars (1943–45),the Oakland Oaks (1946–48),and the Portland Beavers (1951). His career minor-league batting average stands at .295 with 2,540 hits,417 doubles,117 triples,and 98 home runs in 2,492 games played. Despite being left-handed,Holder was used as a second baseman early in his career,a position that is usually reserved for right-handed players. After the 1937 season,he appeared exclusively as an outfielder. During his playing career,Holder stood at 5 feet 10 inches (178 cm) and weighed 180 lb (82 kg).
Harry Rosenberg was an American professional baseball player whose career spanned 13 seasons,one of which was spent in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the New York Giants (1930). In the majors,he played nine games,getting five at-bats,one run scored,one base on balls,and four strikeouts. The majority of his baseball career was spent as an outfielder in the minor leagues.

Earl Philips "Red" Baldwin was a professional baseball catcher who spent 15 seasons in the minor leagues. Baldwin's entire career playing for team on the West Coast of the United States,mostly in the Pacific Coast League (PCL). His career began in the Northwestern League in 1916. Baldwin broke into the PCL in 1917 after being traded to the Portland Beavers. His baseball career took a hiatus during the 1918 season during his service in the 91st Division of the United States Army during World War I. He returned to baseball in 1919 and played in the PCL for the next 11 seasons. During that time he played for the San Francisco Seals,the Seattle Indians,the Los Angeles Angels (1921–23) and the Mission Bells/Reds (1927–30).
Harold Turpin was an American baseball pitcher who played 20 season in minor league baseball,including 18 in the Pacific Coast League. He won 271 games in his career and is a member of the Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame. He threw right-handed,batted left-handed,was 5' 11" and weighed 185 pounds.
Arthur Leland "Mike" Hunt was an American professional baseball outfielder who spent 12 seasons playing minor league baseball,mostly in the Pacific Coast League. He hit over 200 career home runs. Nicknamed "Moose" and "Old Baggy Pants," he was considered "Seattle’s premier slugger of the 1930s."

William Louis Raimondi was an American professional baseball catcher. He played in Minor League Baseball for 22 years,including 21 years in the Pacific Coast League (PCL). He played for the Oakland Oaks from 1932 to 1949,the Sacramento Solons from 1949 to 1950,and the Los Angeles Angels from 1951 to 1953. Raimondi is a member of the PCL Hall of Fame,elected in 1951.
