Tejaswini Kolhapure (born 1 January 1980) is an Indian super model and actress. [2]

Personal life

Kolhapure was born in Mumbai in a Maharashtrian family. [3] Her father, Pandharinath Kolhapure, is a classical singer whose family was from Kolhapur. [4] She is the youngest sister of Shivangi Kolhapure (wife of Shakti Kapoor) and Padmini Kolhapure and mausi (maternal aunt) to Shraddha Kapoor.

She is the niece of singer Lata Mangeshkar, as her paternal grandmother was the half-sister of Deenanath Mangeshkar, Lata's father. [5] Her mother, Nirupama Prabhu, hailed from Mangalore. She held a job working for the airlines. [4]

Kolhapure and her husband, Pankaj Saraswat, had a daughter in 2015. [6]

Career

Before she started her career with modelling and films, she made her debut with a television series, Mujhe Chaand Chahiye , [7] directed by Raja Bundela on Zee TV. She appeared in the "Saughat" and "Tum Bin" episodes of the miniseries Rishtey on Zee TV. She was also involved in theatre. [8]

She did a Modelling assignment in a Fashion Catalogue published by Krupa Kreations - Vimal N. Upadhyaya in the year of 1992. In same edition of this Catalogue, she was accompanied by Aishwarya Rai, Sonali Bendre and Niki Aneja. [9]

Her first film made by Anurag Kashyap, Paanch , was not initially released. [10] Paanch was delayed in its release due to problems with the depictions of violence, language and drug use in the film. [11] Her appearance in Ugly was with the director, Kashyap, once more where she played a depressed young woman who was also an alcoholic. [12] Kolhapure said that filming Ugly was a draining experience. [11] The Hindustan Times wrote that "Kolhapure plays a battered wife and brings out the pain of a barren life perfectly." [13]

Vineet Kumar Singh is an Indian actor and writer known for his strong portrayal of an aspiring boxer Shravan Kumar Singh in Mukkabaaz (2018). An M.D. in Ayurveda from Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur, Vineet began his acting career at the age of 21 with the movie Pitaah (2002). After few series of performances in his early career including the 2010 film City of Gold, he got noticed for his role in films like Bombay Talkies and Gangs of Wasseypur. His role in Ugly and the portrayal of the character Milan Shukla in the film Daas Dev won him appreciation. Anurag Kashyap is an Indian filmmaker and actor, known for his work in Hindi cinema. After writing a television series Kabhie Kabhie (1997), Kashyap co-wrote Ram Gopal Varma's crime drama Satya (1998). He later wrote and directed a short television film, Last Train to Mahakali (1999), and made his feature film debut with the yet-unreleased film Paanch. He next directed Black Friday (2007), a film on the 1993 Bombay bombings. Its release was barred by India's Censor Board for two years, but was eventually released in 2007 to positive reviews. Fanney Khan is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language musical comedy film written and directed by debutant Atul Manjrekar. It was jointly produced by the banners T-Series Films, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures, Theme Studios and Anil Kapoor Films & Communication Network. A remake of the 2000 Belgian film Everybody's Famous!, it stars Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. The film follows Kapoor as the titular character, the middle-aged father of a young, aspiring, and overweight teenage girl whom he pushes to be a singer. He kidnaps a famous soloist to make way for his daughter to become a star.
